When I was using MFP for calorie tracking I put in breastfeeding as a food and it showed -500 calories. I put it under snacks and it worked out great. I lost 30lbs between pregnancies 2 and 3 with MFP!
So. I only started losing weight when I stopped allowing 500 extra calories for beeastfeeding. Once your kid is on solids I recommend doing it under exercises per minute. 15 minutes of breastfeeding is like 60 calories.
gravytrain225 - If you're comfortable, show us here!! Â I love before and after pics!
I only saw them mentioned here, where is the other time? Lol I got a new phone so I need to install Tapatalk, I'll post in around 10 min or so!
I mentioned it in randoms, but forgot then numbers on your name. You look amazing! I love that you did it all without exercise. Ain't nobody got time for that.

gravytrain225 - you look fantastic! Congrats on all yur hard work paying off! I need to get serious about tracking now that we're home and not traveling. I have the same name - oceanstbride. Is there a group to join on MFP or do you just add friends?

Good tip. So did that effect your supply?
Not at all, however ive always had a good supply. But for most women, the actual calories burned from breastfeeding is closer to 300-350 calories the first 6 months, then less after that. So allotting an extra 500 calories for nursing means you're probably over consuming 200 calories a day.
NOW - If there are days Im hungry near the end of the day but out of calories, I will still eat of course. I will just choose some fruit, veggies and lean protein.
