I finally found a maxi dress to wear to this outdoor wedding this summer:
I love the back:
It doesn't look quite as sheer on the bottom when it's on. Anyway, I have a thin silver belt at home that I am going to wear with it to make the waist more defined. Would you wear long, silver strands for a necklace or something shorter that mimics the shape of the V-neck?
Also, I need flats with it, so can anyone link some shoes they think would work? I am thinking silver sandals that could be dressy enough for a wedding but that I will still wear to work, casually, etc.
ETA: And what color shrug/wrap/cardigan would you do with this? Wedding is outdoors in northern WI and will probably get chilly when the sun goes down. You can't tell in these pics, but there is a little white in the design. Would white look OK?

If you're going to wear a sliver belt with it, I'd probably wear my hair up and look at some sort of chandelier earrings to wear instead of a necklace.

I LOVE those sandals that the OP posted!
I agree with earrings over necklace with the belt for sure! Those sandals are ok but read a little mature to me.

My hair is super short so I can't put it up but it will still show off earrings.I didn't think about doing long earrings in lieu of a necklace.
I keep going back to that dress and think about buying it. I'll be curious to know how it feels after wearing it for a while. Chandelier earrings are definitely the way to go over a necklace. Check out Payless Shoes. The always have silver sandals every summer. You should be able to find something there that will work.
Lane Bryant - I went in today to buy a belt and they had a bunch of new maxis and spring dresses in. I love that I can wear a regular bra with it and it covers my upper arms.

Payless is a good option I always forget about. My two favorite pairs of work flats are from there and so comfy.

Oh and also a new question: I very likely will need a wrap/shrug/cardi to put over this when the sun goes down. What color? White? Gray? I think purple would be too much purple.

Is it white or grey in the dress? I think a soft grey would look good.
