I know it was recalled, but my Texas inlaws have been posting a weird amount of 'Support Bluebell" crap on Facebook. It's like they're personally offended by the recall.
Ya'll know it was just a recall, right? And not an attack on your morals or lifestyle or anything?
I'm not trying to be rude or start something but between the house stuff and you not being able to turn on your tv without your husband, it just seems weird to me. And you obviously don't watch the news. No biggie though!

I think there's been some concern about them overcoming this and getting back on track. Maybe that's what it's about. I don't really understand the concern though.

Apparently there are actual signs people are putting in their yards like "come and take it" and "pray for blue bell". The town even had a pray for blue bell day.

Blue bell is a huge deal down here. My parents live up by there and shutting down facilities could have a big impact on that town. It really is awesome so everyone is hoping with new measures in place they can reopen it soon.

For real?? Huh.
It's ICE CREAM people.....
(But I guess if they mean "pray to keep the plant open so my family has jobs" then I get it......)
Things that are big in Texas 1. Hair 2. Football 3. Blue bell ice cream
Like no joke, it's a very big deal. Other Ice creams do not exist to Texans. When a new flavor comes out, it is big news.

Yes. It was the "come and take it" stuff they were posting that made me scratch my head.

You forgot the two g's- Guns and God. My first thought when I saw the 'come and take it' bit was that this is not the 2nd amendment people, simmer down now.

The FDA is just soooooo mean. How dare they try to keep people from dying of listeria, amirite?
I don't like Blue Bell, but this is a voluntary recall, not FDA mandated.
I hadn't heard that people DIED after eating it. How sad. And folks are up in arms because they can't have their precious ice cream? Priorities people!
I can't imagine having a family member die after eating ice cream. How tragic.
