I have so many questions after watching most of Cars. I assume most of the questions would be answered by rewatching or learning about NASCAR. I probably don't care that much.
We watched Cars 1 & 2 today. What are your questions?
My mom's friend was randomly in town and stopped by unexpectedly. Of course the house was a sight but I don't care. DH, on the other hand, had a hissy. At the risk of sounding sexist, he is on his period this weekend.
We started painting the bathroom though so I"m excited for progress finally!
We had a great Sunday. Got a lot done around the house (laundry, dishes, etc) and then went to a festival downtown. The weather was fabulous and I ran into matildasun! The music was really loud so I was concerned about how DS would do, but he was great.
Funny story from the festival as told to me by DH - DH and DS were walking around. At one point DH was holding DS and a very put together, very drunk 40-something woman comes up to DH, grabs his shirt, and yells in his face "Your son is fucking adorable!" Then walks away. A bouncer at the bar sees the whole thing, looks at DH and says "Bitches be crazy." So weird and hilarious. I didn't hear this story until we were on our way home.
H went out to do yard work today during the girls nap. I went upstairs to get J set up for quiet time. He asked for a snuggle in the bed. I woke up 1.5 hrs later. It was glorious. I wish I could nap every day.
I really should be sleeping now. I need to get up and work early tomorrow and likely every day this weeK.ugh..
So I joined the Leaky Boob group on FB to see if anyone had any ideas about P's issues and they're all like "FORMULA WON'T HELP." Uh, I didn't even mention formula in my post. Chill.
I hope so too...but I developed it during pregnancy and it hasn't gone away
Ugh, that doesn't give me much hope. DH has had it since 2011, and obviously it hasn't gone away. It is really loud right now, so I hope it at least simmers down a bit. It is really making me anger. Tinnitus sucks and it is dumb that there is no treatment for it. Yours was just brought on by pregnancy? I wonder why? I assume my ear was damaged for this stupid cold.
Yeah, mine was just sudden onset, no cold or anything preceded it. My hearing is fine, I just have a constant whooshing in my right ear now. I have to sleep on my right side.
It sucks and I kind of hope a second pregnancy reverses it...
@sessalee, her husband, and her sweet baby were spectating at the race I ran this morning! So I saw them during the race, got to hang out after, AND got to get me some baby snuggles...it was a good day
Proof! Piper would not cooperate for the picture, but she was in a great mood.

I recently saw an OTC treatment for it, lipoflavinoid, and someone I know is taking an Rx off label to treat it, but I forget which one.
We ordered Chinese as a send-off before we start tracking food tomorrow.
Now I am lying on the couch with a baby sleeping on my chest while I watch my DVRed Shark Tank episodes. I think this might be the most content I have ever been. I need to pump and go to bed while H takes baby duty, but he is so sweet and I don't want to put him down.

I just applied for some consulting work that I really, really want to get. It's something I'm passionate about, we could really use the spare cash, and it's a really great networking opportunity. Cross your fingers for me!!

You are seriously the second person to mention this to me in like the past 2 minutes. How funny. I guess I will look into it, but the googles doesn't seem to think there is much hope. I know some antidepressant/anti anxiety meds have an off label use of treating it, but I am not comfortable with that
I am bitter. I put the baby down to pump and got 14 mL in 22 minutes. What a waste. I am frustrated that his pedi told me to keep on pumping because "any breast milk is great!" I am wondering if she thought I meant I produce 2.5 ounces per SESSION, when I meant per DAY. Ugh.
We also compared notes after my family left. I swear, they are basically all like Kimmy Schmidt? My mom seriously asked me if I've ever eaten at Subway. Ever. At Subway. My grandma asked DH if he'd ever tried Chinese food. My uncle asked how to delete an email.
I am LOL at this paragraph. I feel better when other people's families are also weird.

Oh man. That's a lot of work! Breast milk is great, but formula is great too. I don't want to sound discouraging if you want to keep going, but don't feel like you need permission from the pedi to quit pumping. ((hugs))

Having a glass of champagne before we break out the birthday cake! I'm already emotionally spent wrt my ILs visit and we still have 4.5 days to go. I'm just going to be venting it up in the randoms threads all week, don't mind me.

I think you get a do-over birthday next weekend.
Also, closet wine.
Happy Birthday!
Halfway considering stashing a flask in the nursery since that's the only place I'll be even partly alone this week. At least the baby can't judge me!
