Thanks! I just decided to do it on Friday, so haven't quite tailored training to it (I'm gearing up for a sprint tri soon), but I felt pretty good after 10 miles on Saturday so I think I'll survive. Pretty sure cinco and I are running the same one, and I can say with total confidence even if she runs on one leg she'll beat me by at least an hour.
Good luck! I don't really have my speed back post marathon, but I'm looking forward to it. It is a fun race!
I started the 21DF over yesterday - did Cardio yesterday, Upper Fix today. They are so much easier (not easy, but easier) after doing the Extreme version.

I started yesterday too! For the first time though. I haven't done upper fix yet today but I liked yesterday's work out
Monday - C25k (2 workouts) Tuesday - C25k Wednesday - TRX class Thursday - C25k Friday - TRX class Saturday - rest, or maybe a long walk with the family
I did body pump yesterday for the first time and am so sore today! I planned on going tomorrow morning but I'll play that by ear and maybe take my normal Sat morning class.
I really liked Body Pump except the class is an hour so I have to take a really long lunch to go.
Monday, bar method and two mile walk Tuesday, six mile run and bar method Wednesday, bar method Thursday, bar method and two mile run Friday, three mile run Saturday, rest Sunday, flying pig half marathon. My goal is 2:15. I had a 2:03 as my first and last year I ran/walked a 2:28. With my injuries, 2:15 works.
Good luck in the pig! We may head down to cheer. I would love, love, love to do the half next year.
I did a m/w/f schedule this week. RIPPED, Zumba and tap class, and barre respectively. Yard work this afternoon and all weekend. Maybe I'll get in an outdoor run too.

I was SO sore after my first one too. I did go two days later, after much debate, I just lowered my weights way down. I figured it would keep me in the habit of going, and help me stretch it out.

I am late to the thread. Thank you, what a fantastic half! The hills were brutal and not sure if I can "attack" them again and that's saying a lot since I train on hills in Atlanta. Great vistas, wonderful crowd support and a hard down hill but my lungs loved it. I managed a 2:09 so I was happy. Sounds like you had a great workout week.
