We are having DS1's party at an indoor play place from 10-12. You play in one room for an hour, then 30 minutes in party room , then 30 minutes in another area. I know I need to serve lunch but any suggestions? I'd also like to have snacky food in case anyone wants to snack before lunch. I don't think a sandwich tray would go over well. I could do a cheese and meat tray. Pizza? Hotdogs?
It's racecar themed, any ideas for favors? We did this last year and gave a hot wheel, a mini trophy and a checkered flag.
I guess the obvious answer is pizza, but I think hotdogs would work well too. Would you be ordering the food from the place, or having pizza delivered/bringing in your own hotdogs?
Is the 30 mins in the party room the total time for eating lunch, or is lunch at 12:00? I was thinking 30 mins might be a little tight, especially if you want to do cake too?
It's 30 minutes total so 11:30 we would head to the party room. I don't plan to open gifts. We have the room the whole time though so everything would be set up and if they got hungry earlier they can go to the party room. I would prefer to order as much but I can surely cook the hotdogs prior and keep them warm in a crockpot. Pizza may be easier though.
Thanks yall! That's what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure it was enough. I usually have way too much food so I feel weird with such a small menu. You're right that it will fly and no one will eat as much as they do at house parties.
My experience with parties like that is the kids don't really like to sit down long enough to eat a whole plate of food. I think pizza and cake and maybe a meat and cheese tray would work well. I just try to have some other options just because I can't eat chain pizza and that's all we have around here.
