You are going to mess with my mind!! I didn't read that!!!!!
Ignore me! I like rowing! Clearly I have no idea what I'm talking about!
Yea, that's weird. You probably like burpees too. I know someone that likes burpees. SHe said she'll row then do burpee box jump overs as her rest between rowing. Umm what?!

I am 5'9". Burpees are therefore stupid (the ground is so far awaaaaay), and I am a little offended that you would accuse me of liking them Rowing is relaxing and was my rest during 15.5. I literally closed my eyes and just rowed at a comfortable rhythm around 900 cal/min.
I will do murph one time per year. Then I will eat a half pound burger with a small mountain of Irish cheddar cheese, followed by a margarita and a dump truck of corn chips.

I don't belong to a box anymore but found a friend who has done plenty of Crossfit and we agreed to meet up this morning for one of my favorites - Dirty 30. -30 Box Jumps (20") -30 Jumping Pull-ups, -30 Kettlebell Swings (35) -30 Walking Lunges -30 Knees to Elbows, -30 Push Press (45) -30 Back Extensions, -30 Wallball Shots (subbed squats) -30 Burpees -30 Double Unders
I was thinking the same thing. I get a lot of comfort in the knowledge that Murph will only come up once a year. No thank you to doing it more than that!!
Obviously Memorial Day isn't significant in Chile, but I didn't know if other boxes just "adopt" that May weekend to do Murph since so many affiliates are doing it and it's a "thing" with shirts and fundraisers and stuff.
Yea, no Murph for me. I think I may go for a run instead. Oh wait! I don't need to make up an excuse because I have a legit one! My half is the next weekend so I can't do Murph and ruin myself.
I haven't gone to CF since last Wednesday. I was supposed to go Monday but DH had to work overtime so rather than haul the kids to the gym I ran 6 miles with the stroller.
Today we are doing front squats and the WOD is 30 mins EMOM: Min 1: 8 wall balls (20/14#) Min 2: 8 Push Ups Min 3: 8 Deadlift (185/125#)
I should do well on this.
Well, I did well the first 15 mins with a 135# deadlift then stripped some weight off because my hands and form were getting ruined. I used a 10# wallball since all the 14# were taken by the time I went to get mine. I considered the 20# for like 2 seconds. I definitely didn't do as well as I expected.

I didn't realize it was such a big deal in the US! I know that's the typical time to do it but didn't know about the other stuff. I'm not aware of any boxes here doing that kind of thing whenever they decide to do Murph or purposely doing it in May (although some might, of course) - for us it's just another benchmark Hero/Girls WOD.
Today was tiring in a very satisfying way:
2 10 min EMOMs: 1st was odd minute 7 power cleans (I used 30 kg), even min 10 box jumps. Rest for a couple minutes 2nd was odd minute 20 kb swings (I used 20 kg, just upped that weight the other day!), even min 10 box jumps.
My legs are ready for our 3-day weekend, please and thank you!
I slept through my alarm the past two days, but actually slept well today and made it. (I work nights so sometimes I sleep like crap, during the day).
Anyhow, it's been a weird week. During Monday's WOD, my heart was racing like 200bmp. Yuck. Idk what was up with that. Today felt similar, but not as bad. I started eating mostly paleo last week, so I'm wondering if my body is freaking out a bit due to fewer carbs? I'm going to have to play around with things a bit.
3 rounds of pull-ups, one more per round than last week. I missed them last week, but did 3 with a red band, then changed to blue the last round since it's deload week and I was struggling.
Then 12min AMRAP 12 ring dips (I did banded bar dips with a green band) 24 wall balls (15#) 200m sprint ( I subbed 250m row so I don't aggravate my calves before a race on Sunday)
I only finished 2+26. I hate wallballs. I'm kind of disappointed with this score. Ugh. I'm mostly frustrated that I feel so off this week.
My upper back is just so smoked. With all the accessory work we've done AND my two hoop classes, my back just can't do anymore.
*rant ahead*
Fortunately (HA!) #realmitch has decided to basically cancel Saturday classes and I am SUPER annoyed about it. He is a Lulu "ambassador" (don't get me started) and so he's teaming up with the Lulu showroom ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN and he's relocating all the Saturday classes to their showroom.
YOU GUYZ
I just spent $200K on a house BECAUSE it is 1.5 miles from my gym. I did NOT just buy a house ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN. Gahhh. He is doing an "open gym" late in the morning, but I schedule my entire Saturday based on working out early in the morning.

How long is the drive to the other side of town?
It's like 20 minutes, so it's not the very worst, but it's not 3 minutes 45 seconds WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT THE HOUSE I DID.

Sounds like it's time for wambam to become staff at the box and be the person with a set of keys who opens the gym earlier on Saturday morning
Also, yesterday our box was closed for Labor Day. My coach wanted to work out himself, so he invited some of us who are more serious/doing our own additional training to come as well. I thought that we were each going to do our own thing according to our own plans, and instead we all did The Seven. I modified about half of it (discs under my head for HSPU, lower weights for thrusters and DL, definitely didn't touch my elbows with my knees) and still had my ass well and truly kicked.
