Wow, I loved your race report! You kind of made me want to try that marathon some day! I mean, it sounds awfully hard, but incredible.
Kudos to you for persevering through your injuries, through the tough course, and through the mental struggles. Congratulations on your first marathon!
I've always had this marathon on my "one day" list. This thread only pushed it even higher. Then, before I knew it, I found myself researching the Boston 2 Big Sur challenge. I probably need to step away from this recap for a bit. LOL
You did incredible! And that's the beauty of training cycles...you learn so damn much about yourself + your body...and that learning never stops! Congrats!

You should do it! There were a lot of B2B runners there. I think there are 500 B2B slots out of a total of 5000 marathon slots, so a fairly big proportion of runners. My best friend and her running buddy did B2B this year and they both really loved it.

I sort of really want to! DH would definitely be interested as well, so maybe the first year we BOTH qualify for Boston? That would make the most financial sense and it would be fun to tackle the challenge together. I think he stands a good chance of a BQ this fall, so maybe 2017? Of course that means I will need to qualify again. LOL We'll see, but look at you with your awesome recap, encouraging other people's crazy!
wow, what an amazing recap and such a great experience! I loved reading that and was so inspired. You chose a very challenging marathon for your first and while you had some issues with pain and training, you crushed it and met your goal. I am so proud of you!
I've been so impressed with how you've handled the stumbling blocks that came your way. I wish I had a fraction of your zen. I'm so happy that you got to finish your race. Congratulations, marathoner!
