Good morning!
I am thankful for a really fun night out last night. We are doing a weekly babysitting swap with our neighbors after the kids go to bed. $2 off pints of delicious beer and time out with my H was wonderful.
I am also thankful that I had plans to meet up with a new friend at 5:45 to get a workout in. I have missed having a workout buddy so much and I think we are going to get along great. We did the Crossfit WOD Dirty 30 which is one of my favorites ever!
I am thankful my MIL is coming down this weekend! She is always such a big help and with DH working again this w/e I really need it.
I am thankful for my H, especially as we come up to our 10 year anniversary next week. We had planned on taking a big 10 year trip, but things have been crazy and we are looking forward to a nice quiet date night (thanks again to my MIL who will be here to babysit). I'm so lucky to have someone so supportive and fun. I love that he enjoys spending time with the kids as much as I do.
I thankful for a somewhat decent run today. I am thankful that i am starting to feel better (still have a few issues every now and then but overall so much better than last week). I am thankful that H is feeling better.
I am thankful that I have a SIL that runs and a friend that is my new race buddy. She is down to run all the races! So is SIL but she works some weekends so she can't make some races.
I am thankful that it's rest day. I've ran 3x since Sunday and did CF once and my body is telling me to stop!
Also thankful that the blister I got on Sunday or Monday is gone. I am pretty sure I whittled the issue down to it being the socks which is good because now I know which socks NOT to wear for my half.
I am thankful for my appointment with the infectious disease doctor to figure out what is going on with my sinuses. I am thankful that after today the next FIVE days will be DRY! (Portland can have its rain back! Atlanta doesn't want it anymore.) I am thankful that I will get to spend time with close friends this weekend.
I'm thankful I have gotten to run the last two mornings! I'm suuuuper thankful dh took a great new job that doesn't start until 5/18 so we have a couple weeks of family time

I'm thankful that I didn't burn my house down on Monday. I just melted my microwave and filled the house with smoke, and scared the shit out of everyone.
I'm thankful that I get to see my brother and sister tomorrow night! And I'm running a half with my sister this weekend - her first! Two of my cousins, two aunts and my SIL are all running too. It should be a fun family weekend.
I am thankful that my body has been rewarding my mind with the determination I've had all year.
I'm thankful for a fun, awesome husband that is going to whisk me away tomorrow to an unknown destination for a week to relax.
I'm thankful to be a part of such an amazing strong community here! I sound like a broken record because I say it often, but gah, we all kick some serious ass around here

What did you melt in the microwave?!?! Glad everyone is okay!

Monday night as I was making dinner, I went in the backyard, where the kids and dog were playing, just in time to see our dog climb over the fence, which was a new trick for her. I spent the next 20 minutes chasing her before I caught her. As we were walking back to the house, I remembered that I was melting butter on the stove. When I got home, the house was full of smoke and the microwave (it's over our range) was melted. I guess the butter caught on fire, burned the microwave and then thankfully burned itself out.
I called our small town FD and they sent FIVE fire trucks with the sirens blaring. So embarrassing. We are all okay, and so is our stuff (except the microwave), but my nerves were totally frayed. Oh, and H is out of town - of course. Crazy shit never happens when he is home.
Now we need to work on major recall training with the dog, and she's not allowed outside without a leash anyone (even in the fenced backyard). Major bummer.
CallingAllAngels - OMG, I am so glad your house and dog (and people!) are okay. My H is always out of town or working when crazy things happen.
For your doggy - you could look at hot-wiring the top of the fence. Is she climbing or jumping? We have Invisible Fence with our physical fence, but i know some of our volunteers hot wire theirs for escape artists fosters.
I'm thankful for the nice weather. I'm thankful for all of you here on H&F! I guess I'm also thankful for AF right now so I won't have it next week for the marathon.
I am thankful for : -dental insurance and that I was able to get in right away for an emergency root canal to relieve my pain -sunny weather and grilling out with DH -that we discovered Halloumi cheese- the cheese that grills! I can't wait to try it on the grill tonight

I'm thankful it's race week!
I'm thankful for parents who are happily taking our son for a sleepover tomorrow night since my wife has mandatory OT and won't be home before I have to leave on Saturday. Now I just have to not oversleep...and properly manage my time getting ready with the new puppy...
I'm thankful for friends, running and otherwise.
And I know this is H&F not CEP, but I'm thankful that the SCOTUS hearing is over and that I might actually be legally married in my home state by the end of June. And if that happens, I will be ever so thankful to have my name added to my son's birth certificate and to be his legal MOM. I will weep ugly tears of joy on that day.
