I am going to take the Audit portion of the CPA exam at lunchtime. After I'm done, my mom is treating me to a pedicure. Once I finally get home, I plan on having a few margaritas and making my husband watch Gilmore Girls with me. I can't wait to do normal stuff!
I fly out tomorrow for a week doing parent care stuff. So today is all prep for being gone for about 2 weeks. This is my last Saturday at home until Memorial Day weekend
So after a whole week of working some pretty long, intense days, The two margaritas I had at lunch absolutely knocked me on my ass yesterday. It was awesome to come home after and have the freedom to just relax and do nothing . I feel amazing today.
My mother is in town . We got up early, had breakfast, went to yoga and ran a few errands. I was exhausted (it doesn't take much ), so I took a nap and we're going to to see The Age of Adaline shortly. Then I think I'll suggest an early dinner since DH is going to a fight party and then I can come back and sleep again. I'm the worst!
Yoga again tomorrow and then brunch, not sure after that.
We bought FI's wedding suit. He looks SO good in it! On our way to a derby party, then later we have my friend's birthday bash at some swanky lounge. I also received a "soft" offer for a PRN position/3 month maternity coverage this morning. It's been a good day!

Hoping to squeeze in a pedicure.
I hope you got your pedicure And I'm sending good wishes for you and your parents this week.
We got up early, did lots of errands for the pool and upcoming trip to Michigan. As part of Mr. Pom's birthday celebration, I took him to see the new Avengers movie. It was good, but I was so glad we went to the first showing. The theatre was PACKED and it was even more insane when we left.
(There is nothing like getting older with a little side of hulk rage.)
We are now firmly planted on the sofa sipping Woodford Reserve watching all the derby festivities (rose) Run Dortmund, run. I so loved Big Brown too.
H and I are kayaking on the lake this afternoon. Then we'll bbq tonight and do some yard work if I'm feeling ambitious. Tomorrow we have our cousin's kids' bday party, followed by hanging out with SIL. I'm excited for a relaxed weekend in the gorgeous weather!
Today I ran errands, got my bike ready to ride, and mowed the lawn. I'm currently drinking a bloody mary and after dinner BF and I are going to play a game and watch a movie.
Tomorrow afternoon I'm going on a bike ride with a friend. I think we're going to stop a few places for drinks. I'm SO excited! Other than my XH (who was too hard core for my taste) I haven't had anyone to ride bikes with since I got mine 3 years ago. Now my friend has a bike so we're going to take advantage. I love riding my bike and stopping for beers is a great incentive to get some exercise (and will negate the exercise, but it's better than just hitting happy hour!).
We're in PA this long weekend visiting family. My dad is from here, and he and his whole extended family live in this area. We basically just came (drove almost 12 hours (8 hour drive, but stopped a lot with the kids)) so that my grandmother could meet the baby and see my son. She never seems all that excited to see them, or really talks much at all. Ah well, the visit had assuaged my guilt about her not meeting them (my dad and his wife have met the baby and visit us usually twice a year).
We did, however, get some good wings tonight, and will get to see my favorite aunt tomorrow, so not all a bust.
I won't know how I did until a few days after Memorial Day. There are 3 multiple choice sections and one section with problems. The first MCQ section was cake. The second and third sections were definitely more difficult. The problems were half cake, half terrible. I definitely don't feel as defeated by it as I did on my other exam sections! I feel cautiously optimistic!
My parent's neighbor accidentally rear ended my poor accord last night. I got out, looked at it, and said "aww man, again?" Neighbor felt really bad and upset about it all. Today I told him not to worry and don't feel bad. They're just cars. Plus this will be my poor Accord's 3rd or 4th bumper. It didn't even phase me. I am shockingly way too breezy about it. He laughed and said so that's what you meant by again lol.
Sucks because I was going to drive my dogs in it 8 hours to our new home next Sunday. Now I'm not sure what to do. Keep it here to fix then drive up or find a place to fix it once I get up there? In pretty sure the body shop I usually take it to will say the same thing "again?"

Fix it at home. You know the people and dont have to worry about a shop doing shoddy business. Plus, it'll be way cheaper there.

I've decided to get rid of most of my clothes and just get basics and accessorize.
I've been packing up and stuff, and I just have way too many clothes. I don't live that kind of life anymore, and with me going to school and likely wearing scrubs all of the time, it doesn't make sense to have them.
I'm excited. I'll keep most of my dresses and probably some suits, but the other stuff, time to go. It's freeing.

Nice! I remember my husband saying, of one CPA exam, that he waffled between elation and despair throughout the whole thing. Ha!
orangeblossom, that sounds freeing! I would love to do that but in just waiting to hear back on a few jobs that could determine a different dress code than my current jobs. I have too many clothes and while I sometimes feel I can justify needing them all, I obviously don't, I wear my favorite stuff most regularly anyway and it just creates more laundry that goes unfolded
Part of the decision to do so, was that I do wear the same things pretty regularly, so why have all if the extra stuff.
This is all in theory of course. We'll see what happens when it comes time to getting rid of stuff. I've already sold a few bags on Ebay, and have some more stuff I want to sell.
A FB friend who I went to college just posted the listing for her house with "Let me know if you or any of your friends are interested! It's a great family home!" Um, it is listed for $6.45M. Doesn't that seem like kind of a pricey house to try to sell on FB?
