I'm up (which is a good thing since it's now 11am). I stayed out entirely way too late last night and enjoyed entirely way to many fancy cocktails and glasses of wine with some great friends.
Today's plans include nursing a cup of coffee from my couch before mustering up the energy to get ready and head to metro for a my first ever social league sports experience and volleyball game this afternoon.
Met up w8th the group did just over 3 with a huge hill in the middle. The people are super nice. We got to talking about the local running group. Apparently all they really do is put on races, which is what I thought. So basically this group another local group only does Sunday runs (unless of course there is a race that weekend). They are all really awesome though. I don't know if my border collie will forgive me going without her though lol.
I'm up. Had to do some damage control between the teen and DH. I was so happily sleeping before he woke me up.
I'm headed to the stores today for a hydration belt or pack and a shower curtain. I cleaned the crap out of my bathroom and now I want a pretty curtain to make the tiny space feel cheery.
I also agreed to do a papercrafting project for a friend. I haven't done any palercrafts in over two years, close to three. I used to be huge I to it but after having my youngest it faded away. My house is too chaotic to focus on that now.

I've been up since 6. Had breakfast with R and about to get dressed so I can go teach a lifeguard inservice for my friend (she had surgery and can't get wet).
This is not a good sign. I finished my 9, but it felt awful. It felt super hot and my body felt tired and heavy. Normal for summer running, right? Except that it was probably only 75 w/75% humidity today! Granted, full sun, but it's gonna get sooo much worse. Why did I ever think training for a full through the summer would be a good idea? /rant
I just got back from spectating a friend in her 5k and then trying to catch another friend at about mile 15 of her first marathon. I must have missed her somewhere because she dropped out at 16. I feel so bad for her.
I got about four easy recovery miles in while waiting and watching.
I woke up early for a 5K. My time sucked but I haven't been running much. Then I went and enjoyed some fried ice cream. Now enjoying a glass of wine while relaxing on the front porch.
Just back from the 5 miler. My hip and left IT band took until mile 3 to loosen up, so I just took it easy, but was doing 8:30s. I ran past DS at 4.5 (kids egg chase), and he was so sad that I wasn't running with him, so, yeah. Last half mile was at his running pace. My friend got third in our age group for just under 9mm, and I finished at like 9:05avg. Ah, well! She was so happy to get the award, and I got an even better award with my DS being so excited to cross the finish line with me.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
