Late to the party, I know, but… If you keep track, how are you for your year? If you're doing an annual challenge, how are you going with it? Was anything particularly outstanding, either good or bad?

Season of Storms, Susanna Kearsley - 3* This Thing Called Love, Miranda Liasson - 3 * A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander #6), Diana Galbadon - 4* Vampires in the Lemon Grove: Stories, Karen Russell - 4* A Desperate Fortune, Susanna Kearsely - 4*
#17/50 for the year, which puts me one book ahead.
I also re-read HP PoA and GoF, but I don't count those.

In April, I read: Nine Lives to Die by Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown All the President's Menus by Julie Hyzy Death Dines at 8:30 edited by Claudia Bishop and Nick DeChario Double Take by Melody Carlson Love Still Stands by Kelly Irvin A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver by E.L. Konigsburg
If you keep track, how are you for your year? -- I've read 20 books, my goal is 52, but even so, I feel like I'm behind. I have four books on the go, but three of those are ones that I'm reading a little bit at a time to cover the year.
If you're doing an annual challenge, how are you going with it? -- I'm doing the Popsugar 2015 Ultimate Reading Challenge, and I think I'm doing pretty well. I've ticked off 18 of the 52 challenges, and have three more in progress. (I can't figure where to put the other two books I've read so far, but I/m keeping them in reserve; I can always move books around at the end of the year if I need to.)
Was anything particularly outstanding, either good or bad? -- I was disappointed with All the President's Menus; I find the series is falling off from the great start. I thought Double Take to be a ridiculous, completely unbelievable tale; I really had trouble getting through it, and in the end, I wondered why I persevered. I really enjoyed A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver, which was a re-read, that really held up.
Mallory and the Trouble With Twins Jessi Ramsey, Pet Sitter Dawn on the Coast Kristy and the Mother's Day Surprise Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger Claudia and the Sad Goodbye
Other books:
The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King - 3 stars Ticker by Lisa Mantchev - 3 stars Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling - 4.5 stars The Wives of Los Alamos by TaraShea Nesbit - 3.5 stars
I'm continuing my ridiculously slow reading trend this year, with only 2 books in April:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix JK Rowling Pillars of the Earth Ken Follett
For this year's challenge, I've checked off the following categories:
1. [ ] A book with 500 pages 3. [ ] A book that became a movie 7. [ ] A book with nonhuman characters 9. [ ] A book with a female author 10. [ ] A mystery or thriller 14. [ ] A nonfiction book 16. [ ] A book from an author you love that you have not read yet 29. [ ] A book set somewhere you've always wanted to visit 37. [ ] A book set in the future 41. [ ] A book with magic 43. [ ] A book by an author you've never read before
Not great, since I probably won't finish this year at the rate I'm going.
Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde (re read) 4* Oh! You Pretty Things by Shanna Mahin 3* Death in the Floating City by Tasha Alexander 3* Our Endless Numbered Days by Claire Fuller 4.5*_ Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple (reread) 5* A Crimson Warning by Tasha Alexander 3*
I'm at 41 for the year, which goodreads says is ahead of schedule.
Outlander (Outlander, #1) (I gave this 4 stars, i loved it, but I do not love LONG books, so this was hard!) Gabaldon, Diana *
The Art of Racing in the Rain (4 stars, Made me looka t my dog in a whole new light ) Stein, Garth *
Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain (4.5 stars, i could completely relate to her story and her feelings, it was great to feel "not so alone" or "odd") Portia De Rossi
The Gunslinger by Steven King 3* - I really wanted to love this but I just can't get into King's style of writing. Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott 4* Talon by Julie Kagawa 4*s The Matchmaker by Elin Hilderbrand 4*
I'm at 19/50 for my reading goal which is a few books ahead:D I've also checked off 17 of the Popsugar reading challenge ones. I'll need to branch out more to get that challenge actually completed.
If you keep track, how are you for your year? I've read 25 out of 100 books for the year, which means I'm 9 books behind. I'm not worried about it. I've been reading more challenging/difficult (subject matter) books lately, which take longer. I'm sure I'll catch up.
If you're doing an annual challenge, how are you going with it? I've read 4 and am on my fifth for my challenge, so I'm a little behind.
Was anything particularly outstanding, either good or bad? I only got half-way through The Boys in the Boat and then returned it. It was boring. Chosen was poorly written. The first three books I posted are absolutely incredible and should be read by all.
