"Everything happens for a reason, people change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together." ~Marilyn Monroe
I was up at 5 AM and I was like "uhhh, no!" and went back to sleep until 7. All I did was move from my bed to the couch! lol! It's going to be a lazy Saturday!
I wanted to paint my bathroom last night but I couldn't find the paint can opener. I tried using a screwdriver but all that did was unbend the lip on the lid. Anyone know of anything else that would work?

I'm right there with you, Eureka1984! Sucks that 'sleeping in' is 6 am.
I have a class reunion planning meeting, and then hanging out with some friends. Should be a fun day today.
I bought curtains last night. I love them, but I'm having an internal struggle of buyers remorse (probably shouldn't have spent the $50) and so excited to put them up. I'm loving how my little apartment is coming together.
I get so many emails everyday about online sales from Gilt, zulily, ideeli, etc so I just delete them before I open them.
I got to see my friends new baby yesterday. He's sooooo sweet and little. Her birth story was awful though because the anesthesiologist messed up. They ended up having to do an emergency c section and it was so scary. Thankfully all was well!
I slept in quite a bit today. Normally I struggle with sleeping in, but today it was 10:30 and the only reason I woke up was a text message. My body is just so tired from being sick.
I am venturing out today to go see pitch perfect with pantsoffdanceoff and another friend. Other than that it is more tv and sleeping.
abcdefu I started watching married at first sight and I am fascinated with it!

I am OBSESSED! The first season now has a spin-off of the first year. It's weird because the first year of their marriage is like actual dating, but with the pressure of making it work out in the long run before meeting the person.
I don't have much planned for the rest of the weekend so I'll have to come up with something besides laundry and yoga. I may go to a gardening workshop this morning.

Slept until 10ish and made breakfast. Doing laundry and enjoying the brief sun with coffee outside before it rains. We might go to the movies tonight depending on how much work J gets done. He found out his grandmother is in the hospital so we will likely go see her tomorrow. Looks like she needs gallbladder surgery, but at 85 everything is complicated. I feel bad because his relationship with his parents is non existent and he does not really speak to them so it hinders things with the grandparents he loves. Pdq.
I got up a tiny bit early and sold some clothes at Plato's Closet and Style Encore and now I'm getting my back coverup finished. I love ink and pain so bring it!

When is the spin off on?
I think Tuesday at 8, but all of the episodes are on demand!
I pulled out dead plants from pots last night so I could plant tomatoes in them. Well most of them had tall grass that rooted around the whole pot. It was a lot of work and my upper arms and neck are feeling it. And actually last night it took me awhile to fall asleep because my left arm was pulsating with soreness.
Bonus is that it's done now and I cleared out the pots my mom will use. So I saved her the work.
I'm waiting to go to tjmaxx to look for some fun shoes. Haha

There is thunder and hail at my house right now and it's making me anxious. Both kids are sleeping through it or they would be freaking out. I think summer storms are going to be the thing that makes me miss having a man around. He couldn't do anything about it, but he was always calm.

I didn't get a chance to work out this morning due to the rain, so I am going to head to the gym tonight.
Tonight I see an early bedtime in my future. I stayed up too late to see the dreamy Nick Offerman and his gorgeous wife at their show last night, but it was totally worth it!
Today has been pretty uneventful. Went back to the car dealership to clean out the old car, did the normal grocery trip, then napped on the couch. Hoping I can fall asleep tonight just because I didn't sleep great last night.
Looking forward to curling up with a book tonight, though. Excited for tomorrow morning: bagels!

I did some planting prep myself. We have some raised beds, and last year when the growing season was over, I planted some seeds that were recommended by the garden person at our local nursery. The seed was mostly grass, and it was supposed to grow and die, then in the Spring they would break down and become compost. They did the growing part really well, but they failed to die and become one with the earth, so this afternoon I spent about 2 hours digging up the foot-tall grass (that was still growing!), then mixing compost and plant food into the soil. I've got a mixture of fertilizer and plant food in a plastic container that I thought was water-tight. Turns out that is is not water-tight, and the stuff has turned into a sludge that legit smells like shit. I scooped some of it out to add to the beds, but I couldn't stand the smell, so I threw it away. Luckily I have some other that I just bought. After 2-3 hours of leaning over to work in the beds, my lower back is in agony. I did finally get my lazy ass out there to get my seeds started, but I may skip growing the lettuce. Lettuce is such a PITA to wash for eating, it's worth it to buy the stuff that someone else has washed.
