I would die without my day planner (and nothing would ever get paid on time). I need an actual paper planner, and it needs to be open and sitting on the kitchen bar at all times.
When a bill comes in, I write in the planner what day to pay it, and stick the bill inside at that day, so when I flip to that day the bill is sitting right there.
I also use it for all appointments, playgroups/dates, things to do/buy, etc.
Yep I also have a paper planner and online calendar. I also set alerts on my phone for things I might forget when stuff gets crazy (like I had it alert me at 6:00 last night to finished DDs science project)
Each kid has their own space on our kitchen. It has a calendar, neck pack hooks and a shelf. This helps immensely.
I adore this!!
My trick is phone alerts. I set alerts a day in advance and an hour in advance (or two hours depending on where it is). I look at my calendar on my phone every evening and tell dh everything that's happening so he has a clue, but really saying it out loud helps.
Our bills are on auto pay so I don't pay too much attention to those other than a visual check that they were paid. Most of ours go through on about the same day.
DH is in charge of bills because I always forget. He has it set up to be paid through the bank so he just typed in the variable amounts 2x a month.
As far as the meetings and medical stuff, do you have it all in one place? I have a 2inch binder for DS2's stuff, each divider is a dr. I have the first page with each Drs contact info, diagnosis and meds related to them. Behind that I keep any perteniet tests or most recent evals and also a copy to give the evaluator asking. I keep older evals in a file cabinet.
We are just starting to transition to the school system so I think I will just get a separate binder for that type of info.
I live by a physical planner I can keep with me at all times. I use the month view for appointments and events. I use the weekly view for meal planning and making notes about the appointments or events (what to wear, bring, name of person meeting, etc)

This is me too, almost exactly! Plum Paper Designs. I have the 18m planner and stays open on the counter too.

For the medical stuff I have a bin I throw all the evals, iep, Drs summaries, etc in. I pare it down twice a year. At this point things are stable with them and we only see the dr a few times a year, beyond their pedi.
i haven't found a planner that works for me I guess. Erin condren is too expensive, I just can't pay that, and I've tried the binder ones but they're too small paper wise and bulky.
i usually handle the bills because DH forgets, and we haven't paid any bills in years. We live with parents so we pay them and she handles the bills. Ugh, I'm just falling apart these couple of months.
I just have a Target 8.5 x 5.5 one it was like $10. It's nothing fancy, I just need to be able to see months laid out at a time but also somewhere I can write more indepth info(the weekly view gives you a decent amount of space), I jot random notes on the weekends, paint colors I liked or grocery lists. It took me a while to get in the habit of writing in it though and now I am lost without it.
And allow yourself some grace, you have a lot going on. You'll get back in a groove.

I am by far the most disorganized person on the planet and instead of reading how people organize their lives, I'm just like OMG where did that tutu bag come from!? Haha. I clearly have my priorities straight. But seriously, is that a dance bag? Where is it from? I must know.
I'll be back later to hear how everyone else is organized because I need help in a major way.

Lol Etsy. It's like 5 years old though. Found one like it.
This is my go to for mail. The wicker basket at the top has dd's art supplies and the two pink are her's too (one for shoes and the other for small toys). The wicker basket towards the bottom is where mail goes as soon as it comes in the house. I also keep a paper bill organizer, checkbook, stamps, and a pen in there. I sort it at least every two weeks (dh's payday). We have certain bills that get paid with the first check of the month, and the others are paid with the second. I get paid once a month so mortgage, car payments, and other big stuff comes from that. We have an app called Cozi that we use to keep track of all of our appointments. I loved having a paper planner but I wasn't great about making sure Dh had the same info. He has a color (and his own account) and so do I. There's also another color for all of us. We also have running shopping lists in the shopping section for Target and Costco.
I would be in disarray without a paper planner. I am such a visual person, I need to see it in front of me. In the morning, I look at the calendar and make a to do list. It feels so good to cross things off. I am trying to be better about sorting/getting the mail each day. We have a file box for bills/receipts/paperwork that is divided by folders.
I am no help. We did a massive remodel while I was also still working and I missed some bills, too. I would just find them like the day after they were due. I am still working on what our "system" should be. I have discovered even more now that I SAH that I suck at organizing stuff. Mostly, I just do everything I can online and have only one or two credit card bills to pay each month.
I use mint and have it set up on both my phone and iPad. All of our bills come to my email so as each email comes in I set the payment on my bank's website.
I have a calendar (target $1 bin every dec/jan) that hangs in the kitchen where I write appointments, activities etc. it's in an easy to see spot so I glance at it every day to see what we've got coming up. I also put everything in my phone so I can check on the go.
For papers that come through the mail, I set them in a desk organizer and go through them Every Thursday and pay, sort, file, toss etc
