I've been googling like crazy but hoping for personal opinions.
I have Brooks Ravenna's that need replacing. I'm about 2 months into being back at CF after baby #2 and just started C25K last week to help improve my running/endurance too.
Looking at Nano 2.0's but should I do C25K in these or are they not very supportive for running further distances than what's usually required in a WOD?
Suggestions on other shoes that would work for CF + 5K-type running (I'm not packing on the miles by any means but still want support)?

5K is definitely the longest I'd do in a "minimalist" training shoe, which is what most CF shoes are designed to be... but I wouldn't be doing regular (3-4x) runs a week in those shoes UNLESS I had stellar running form (aka, no heel strike) and thus didn't need the support of a more traditional running shoe.
If I was planning to use a shoe for WODs and more regular running, I would probably look at Inov-8s. They are very popular in the CF crowd and they have multiple styles/levels of support to choose from. The shoes are rated by their heel drop-the higher the drop the more like a "running" shoe (what the general public calls a running shoe, at least). The 230 is HUGELY popular, as is the 240. THey also have shoes intended for longer distance running, like the Race Ultra 290, that would crossover to CF decently as well.
I CF and run outside of CF. I wear 2.0s but I wouldn't recommend those for running outside of CF. I have separate dedicated running shoes for running only and use my Nanos for CF only but if there's running in a wod I'll use them for that as well.

I also have nanos and separate running shoes. There is no where near enough support in the nanos to run in them. I've found that my knee pain is coming mostly from running in a not supportive enough shoe (even for 200-400m).
If you have a reebok outlet store check there. You can usually get a coupon online plus they are cheaper there too

There is a Reebok outlet near me! Great idea.
Are you still happy w/ the nanos despite the knee pain when running during WODs?
I'm looking at Innov8's and Asics now in addition to the Reebok's and I'll ask my coach tomorrow for his opinion too.
I'm still playing around with finding the right shoes. I need totally flat bottoms for lifting/squats/etc. and I've been unhappy with what I've been using so far.
Oh, and since no one has suggested it, it's really recommended that you get fitted for a running shoe at your local running store. I pronate when I run, so I needed a stability shoe for running (which is why I can't wear the same shoes when lifting since my foot is tipped in the running shoes).

I was fitted in a running store for the Ravenna's but that was 2+ years ago. So I really need to get fitted for new running shoes to make sure Ravenna's are the way to go for a running shoe still for me and also find something better for CF.
I CrossFit in Nano 3's and run in Mizunos - Running in my Nanos is not fun - I will only run in them if the WOD is a mile run or less. I have tried several CrossFit shoes that are designed for running and WOD's and none of them have been great to run in. I had to suck it up and realize that I need two separate shoes for WODs and running.

I like my 2.0s better than the 4.0s but yes I do like them. The 4.0s I find run small and are narrow in the mid foot area. Especially if you have any kind of an arch.
I would also second the idea of getting fitted at a running store for running sneakers.
I also have shoes dedicated for each. I also wear Ravennas. They have some on 6pm for cheapish www.6pm.com/brooks-ravenna-5-ombre-blackberry-cordial-bright-rose Not my first choice for color, but for the price, I'd wear them. I wear nano 4.0s I think. I won't wear them for a running WOD. I'll wear my brooks if I think I can do the other excerxises in them. If not, I sub rowing for sprints. My feet+running in nanos=bad idea! If I wear my brooks for the WOD, I'll bring my nanos to wear for the lifting.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I used Google shopping to find a great price on some (purple!) Ravenna 5's and ordered those. I've been wearing my old Ravennas for C25K and WODs and they really need replacing so this is a good start. I want to try on the different CF shoes you've all suggested and go from there-- I'm excited to find one I like and see how they work during WODs!
