Confession: never had a cup of coffee or tea of any kind in my life. Not a single cup. Ever.
wait. . . aren't you a brit? don't y'all drink tea with everything?
ebeth=mind blown
though I also don't understand how anyone at all makes it through college/university without developing a coffee habit.
as far as coffee I take mine with half and half.
I'm Aussie, but lived here nearly 14 years. It is really awkward when I go see a client and they ask would I like tea or coffee. Not socially acceptable to ask for a nice glass of cold almond milk so I just drink water. A lot of water. I have tasted it (both tea and coffee) but cannot enjoy even a sip. Warm brown water. Yuck!

At home, or when it's available, with flavored creamer. Otherwise, half & half and a little sugar. I've been trying to wean myself of the creamer, so have been mixing it with vanilla almond milk. Just can't seem to quit the creamer, though.

At home: vanilla nut coffee with powdered cancer creamer and sugar free torani speculoos syrup. Out: americano with an inch of cold nonfat milk in the bottom and 3 pumps of sugar free vanilla.
I know. Crappy coffee ingredients are like my hill to die on. You can take my cheese, but you'll pry powdered creamer out of my cold dead hands.
I used to drink a homemade iced non fat latte with one tbsp caramel sauce (from TJs). I recently switched to an iced Americano, also homemade, with about a quarter cup light coconut milk from a can. When I brew really good shots, it's amazing. When they're not as stellar, it does he job lol. I use Costco's espresso blend.
How did you get to adulthood without ever trying any of it? Serious question.
Assume this Q is for me...
I have tried a taste of it - and I still do every few years as my tastebuds change. But I cannot get past the first sip. To me it is utterly vile.
However, things that I have historically despised (corn, tomatoes, asparagus) I now quite like, so it's worth trying it every few years.
Also, I grew up in a hot part of Australia and didn't feel as inclined to want a hot drink. (I realise that coffee/tea is consumed in hot places so this isn't really an excuse).

Lol. I didn't have any coffee until well after I graduated college. I still don't drink it much now unless I really, really need it. Even when I'm on call or up in the middle of the night. But my parents don't drink coffee at all, so it was easy to avoid growing up before the advent of Starbucks on every corner.
I grew up in a small country town in Australia and wasn't within walking distance to a coffee shop. Very easy to avoid for me too. I genuinely wish I could like coffee and tea, I do. I feel like I am missing out, but I really don't like the taste.

I drink mine with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
This might be more mind blowing than the Brit who doesn't drink tea. A medical resident without coffee dependence. That means you've gone through college, med school and an internship without a coffee dependence. NOW I'VE HEARD EVERYTHING.
A few years ago I decided I was drinking too many calories worth of coffee creamer so I went pretty much cold turkey right to black. Now I only use some milk or flavored creamer if the coffe is too strong or just not good.

Lol. Well to be fair I haven't started my internship/residency...things might change come July 1! But I don't want to become dependent, so I just stick to it in emergencies.
Also, the problem for me is that coffee makes me pee like whoa and I can't be in the OR doing the potty dance for several hours.
