Poll: Would it be a rip off to not get some ice cream cake?

It's your son's birthday.  I would just get the ice cream cake that he wants.  I think you'll end up spending more money by having different kinds of desserts. And you run the risk of having either a) not enough or b) too much leftover.

But, there are people who don't like ice cream cake. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So, as much as it was for me because I don't like ice cream cake, it was also for the fact that there might be others in attendance that don't like it either.

Oh I get it. I'm not trying to make you feel bad.

But also realize, you probably won't be able to make everyone happy.  Even with the different options you'll still have people not happy.  So I would just worry about making happy the person that matters most.

Yeah, it's chocolate, vanilla, cookie crumbs and fudge.

Oooh, better idea: do a cake and ice cream buffet. Get a bunch of kinds of everything.

Then the nexties can come over after the kids are done and help you "clean up"

You're right...can't please everyone.  Some people don't like sweets at all!  Can you believe that?  Ridiculous!

The cookie crumbs sound good. I won't deny. Do they frost it or just use ice cream for the decorations, too?

A buffet would be fun, but difficult to lug and serve at the laser tag place, I think. Good idea for a GTG, though.

We often get the DQ cake that has all of the squares of different candies all over it. The cookie dough one typically is gone first...but all of it's really good. Maybe you can ask them to do mint something in one of the squares?

I'm 98% sure it's frosted too. It's been like 3 or 4 years since I've had one though.
