So I'm a little more sore than I thought I would be after my 10-mile race Sunday. I'm pretty sure it was the downhill 4 miles where I was hauling ass, because my quads feel BEAT up today. I should have done a little recovery yesterday, but I was just so damn tired.
Here's the deal, though. BolderBoulder is Monday. I was planning on running pretty hard (because it's the BB, because I need to keep my medal streak intact, because I love 10ks, I mean, a million reasons), but my left quad, ugh. It is sore like it was after my September downhill marathon, right before I blew it up by running hard two weeks later.
So my plan for the week right now is yoga today, 5 mi easy tomorrow, 4 mi on Friday, shakeout 2 on Sunday, race Monday. But I'm worried about it. I don't want to blow anything up, ya know? FWIW, I'm planning on taking a week off completely after the BB. Thoughts on the week plan? Thoughts on the BB plan?
