I run hill repeats this morning. I noticed that my right foot was kinda "floppy" and now my achilles and arch of that foot are so sore. Possible to have plantar fasciitis on just one foot? My shoes aren't that worn but I am going to check out some new shoes this weekend. (maybe its the extra 10 lbs of baby weight making a difference? whomp whomp...) Anyone have this problem?

Yep, one foot. Luckily mine went away by getting new shoes. I use my Foot Rubz ball if it starts aching. That pain is what alerts me to needing new shoes. I never had the sleep splint, but I know it is recommended. Do lots of heel stretches. I feel ya on the 10lbs of baby weight hanging around! Hope it feels better soon.
So tell me more about this sleep splint thingy, I have minor stiffness in one heel upon waking--do I just buy one, wear it at night only and my FP will be better or do I need to do more? I stretch my calves already...

I only wear it while sleeping. Although you can kind of walk on it to get to the bathroom, for example. It keeps my foot flexed and it feels so much better in the morning. My physical therapist gave me my first one, and then I found an identical replacement much cheaper on Amazon. It's such a cheap fix - you should definitely try it!
The only other thing I did for the PF was to never ever ever go barefoot. I bought some orthaheel tide flip flops and wear them around the house. Arch support is your friend.
I had it while pregnant. Like toepick said, going barefoot is the worst. I bought a pair of Crocs to wear at home and they were a lifesaver. Also, rolling my foot back and forth on a frozen water bottle was really helpful. Wish I knew about the sleep splint!
