I am wearing this dress to BIL's wedding this July:
It is northern WI, an outdoor semi-casual wedding (we will be sitting on hay bales for the ceremony, using porta-potties and they are having a bonfire with s'mores after the reception). I am going to style this dress with a thin silver belt at the waist, some statement earrings and dressy silver sandals.
But I am worried it will get chilly after the sun goes down and am not sure what to wear over it. I am not a huge fan of white cardigans (there is some white in the pattern). I don't know that I would really wear one otherwise. I have a dark denim cropped jacket that I wear all the time over dresses. Do you think that would be OK, given the nature of the wedding, or would it be too casual? If too casual, other suggestions?
I would skip the silver belt if you are wearing silver shoes--too matchy and it already has a defined waistline. And I agree a denim jacket would be cute.
