I'm still debating between the half and full. I'd do the full "for fun" since MCM is my primary race. Anyone want a running buddy for the full?
I responded to tour other post about this. Im debating the full. I have a full this weekend, a full in october and a full in april. January would work well...so yeah, how slow do you want to run? Lol
Of course, doing the full would depend on me staying injury free . It's only $10 more right now. It's the bargain shopper in me that's like "I can get 13.1 extra miles for $10". It's an illness

i'm considering the full because i'm bailing on the rock n roll full here in october, since a lot of the course overlaps with the one i just did. and it's sea level and flat

I just ran it in January, so let me know if you have any questions
Hm. I'm unsure about what to do. I'm pretty sure that's a little too soon for me to run another marathon given all the tri training this summer (and hence lack of focus on running). I think I'd do better performance-wise if I waited for Napa Valley the first weekend of March. but 17 other GBCNers is a nice cheerleading section, which would be nice. what to do??

Did you do a race report? I would love to see your thoughts after the race, for sure.
After mile 4ish, the race leaves downtown Charleston & heads toward north Charleston. It gets very 'industrial' for most of the race. There is a nice section where you're at the military base and run out to the water/down the pier a bit & turn around. And a last loop around the water & nice ampitheater - but that is literally a mile before the finish.
It's a more quiet marathon, but we always saw racers around us. My husband and I jogged the marathon with quite a bit of walking at the end. We both had injuries & really wanted to spend the time together - so we said we'd either call it at the half & take the split, call a cab, or shuffle to the finish if we felt decent. We picked option 3 And finished 5:06 adjusted time for the misdirected course
Only one small hill i can remember over a bridge. You cross RR tracks a few times, but literally zero hills
