I feel like that is pretty common, no? I know some of the wealthier school districts here have the larger drug issues in schools. More money, more problems?

I totally lived for the Main Line Drug Ring story last year. Former lax brows dealing drugs to rich kids in the state's best school district. I remember when they covered the bust and had everything they confiscated laid out, and there was all of these drugs and like four lacrosse sticks
Yup. They and TE are known for it, at least they always were when I went to college & worked in the vicinity. Of course half the people send their kids to the privates there; not sure what the drug situation is like there.
I love it when partners tell me they are sending their kids to private school to private high school to avoid drugs. Every high school has a drug problem- what kind depends on how wealthy the kids are. No one is exempt from it.
I grew up there too. It's been a huge drug area since long before I was old enough to be aware of it. The private schools are worse than publics. Money opens a lot of options.
I went to public and my best friend went to one of the most prestigious privates. The kids I knew dealt everything to the kids in the privates. Public kids couldn't afford to use the good stuff the private kids were buying.

Remember the movie Traffic? The private school/rich kid stuff scared the hell out of me, and I wasn't even a parent then. It was also filmed 5 minutes away and used the name of a local high school. That freaked me out even more.
