Ok, so even if I suggest she sits on the potty she says no. She doesn't resist when I set her on it after/during an accident though. I'm still reminding her like every five minutes too. I think she wants the control?
Where is your potty? Do you have one in the living room/playroom for her?
No, we are just using the regular toilet. It's about 15 feet from where we have been spending most of our time. Now we are on the roof and I brought the little potty up.
how many pairs of underwear should I have on hand? Ordering some today so we'll have them in 2 weeks when we train.
I have 25 or so and its more than enough. But she has amazing bladder control so yesterday she peed 6 times. YMMV. I just threw them in the washer and ran it overnight. I could have gotten away with 12-14 pairs prob.
DD has a low grade fever I don't think that's going to change anything for us but I feel badly.
Oh boo, good health vibes your way.
Btw do you have a roof deck? Jealous. Pics?
Thanks. Of course I am all paranoid that PTing has given her a kidney infection or something...
This is our house. The front portion is one story and the back is 2. The deck is over our living room, and the doors from the future master will open onto it. The rest of the roof will be a green roof.
I put DS in underwear when he woke up. He's doing great! He's been up 2.5 hours and still dry! He's going pee on the potty literally every 5 minutes, all of his own volition. He pooped on the potty when he woke up too.
@tokenhoser and others who've already done PTing, how do I get him to hold his pee for more than a few minutes? Will he figure that out on his own? DH needs to leave to go get breakfast, but I can't nurse DD and accompany DS to the potty every 3 minutes, so I'm making DH wait until I'm doing nursing. He's getting grumpy and HANGRY.

We are on day 3. She only peed 3 times yesterday and didn't make it to the potty at all. I was up all night convinced she'd given herself a UTI from holding it in.
I am feeling frustrated because she won't sit on the potty when I suggest/ask (which according to our method you're not supposed to do anyways). I honestly don't know...I'm feeling kind of lost right now.
I'm kinda jealous that you guys are all doing this this weekend. I wish I had as well but I'm afraid it's too close to the baby being born in 2.5 weeks. I think I will wait until the dust settles in July sometime.

I think that's a good plan. We waited until after DD was born for the same reason.
Well we're just sitting here waiting for "the moment" lol. She has underwear on and I keep asking her if she wants to try every 10-15 minutes. I think it is annoying her. I gave her two big cups of milk and she ate breakfast. Should I give her more liquids? She needs to go in order to make the connection.
I guess I'm joining you guys though I'm not going 100% with it because I don't want to be stuck inside all weekend and the weather is awful so we can't even move outside.
He is pantless watching the Daniel Tiger potty episode with a juice box in one hand and a toy in the other. He told me he had to go poo poo so we rushed to the bathroom where he did nothing. So we went back to the living room where he peed on the floor 3 minutes later. It was just a little bit then he stopped and he didn't say anything. I didn't know he did it until the dog started being interested in that spot. Ugh. Took him to the toilet and he peed a lot.

I noticed his poop stance so told him it was time to go to the potty where he pooped! He got lots of praise and is now saying, "I went poopoo on the potty!!!!" I know that was just luck that I caught him in the act, though.

That's what you're supposed to do!
CheeringCharm, yes push the liquids. But no more milk since its constipating.
First accident. I rushed her to the potty and reminded her to tell me the next time. So hopefully now she knows what the feeling is? Sigh. Is there anything worse than PTing?? At least this is my last time doing this! Lol

I guess we are trying this weekend. Nods wanted underwear today, so we figured why not? So far she has peed in one pair, but stopped mid stream and went to the potty for the rest.
I'm also going to try and get Chase to start napping in a crib today, rather than our bed. Fun times.
I'm so not ready for this. And our house has a lot of carpet.
This is why we haven't attempted it at all yet. Everything but the kitchen and bathroom are carpeted. My 25 month old is also stubborn as hell and I just.. don't have it in me. I don't want to. My first started potty training at 18 months and was pretty much good to go at 24 months. This one? Nope. She is not interested and she will tell you so.

I was supposed to get a flip trainer (cloth equivalent of a pull up) in the mail, but instead received a regular flip. So now are doing nap in undies and I'm just expecting to wash the sheets when she wakes up. I tried laying a changing pad down and Nods immediately threw it off the bed.
Woke up from two hour nap dry. Happy but worried my husband will be annoyingly smug
If he acts smug about his success, then you'll have a good excuse to get out of PTing the second one, too. "You did so well last time! I don't want to interfere! I'll just head to a hotel for the weekend so I stay out of your hair."

@starry, go J!
DD peed before her nap and tried to poop, but no success. She didn't poop in her diaper at nap though, so that's good! Diaper was a little wet, but nothing like usual.
