The dealer didn't change my oil until 4 hours past my appointment which was close to when I was due to leave work. I got annoyed and told them not to do the diagnostic that was going to cost me $125.
When I arrived they told me my front brakes were really low and the the rotors were rusted. I asked how much it was going to cost and he said he couldn't tell me because I didn't let them complete the diagnostic. I wanted to tell him to pound sand but told him I was going to take it elsewhere since they didn't honor appointments anyway.
Rotors came to mind, but that is a grinding noise or shuddering during braking. They shouldn't charge you to check out the car. No one has charged me for that before....in my experience rotors are around 600. It is really early for that though. Do you ride your brake a lot?
The rotors just don't make sense for acceleration sans braking
I'm hoping it's not too expensive. I definitely need front brakes. We haven't had those done. I don't ride the brake a lot. My commute is only 3 miles a day the rest is long trips throughout the year. I'll update tomorrow. Hoping it's an expensive belt of some sort.

Belts don't have to be much. My serpentine was $60. Good luck

@this it sounds like you need alcohol this week. One week won't be so bad in the grand scheme of weight loss. Sanity > maybe a few pounds. Brie your nails are fab! Hope you're able to take even just a few minutes to enjoy your soak.
DS started calling me mommy tonight instead of mama. I am not a fan. I kept correcting him until DH told me I sounded like a crazy person to our not even 2 year old.
I ended up having the whole day to myself, it was GLORIOUS after a rough toddler day. Of course DD screamed at me all the way home from daycare and is a saint for dh, sigh. Maybe I need to pull a @starry and leave town so he can PT her? I'm going to top off my day with a bath and using my new simple sugar scrubs tonight.
We are hosting a cookout on Saturday, hoping the rain holds off til afterward. It is going to be the biggest event we've held at our house and I really hope we don't have to move it indoors! I did all the food shopping today so now we just have to clean and get things set up. Wish we could have today's weather on Saturday, it was in the 60s with a clear blue sky, perfection.
I keep forgetting we are leaving town on Monday, should probably finish planning that trip...
Gah. I still need to figure out what I am bringing.
My IUD came out on Tuesday. I was having 31 day cycles, but the last one was 47 days. I'm currently on day 32. My thyroid levels were off, so that may contribute to the weird 47 day cycle.
On a whim I took an OPk this afternoon. I had a faint line. So that mean my body is still hearing up to ovulate on this cycle? If I'd already ovulated, wouldn't the OPk be stark white?
I mostly ask this in an effort to know if I need to pack a shitload of Tampax to take to Germany, or not.

LH is present in low levels throughout your cycle, so you can have a faint line even if you've already ovulated. Sorry, I think you have to pack the Tampax.

It was perfect weather today in KC wasn't it!? I took DD to a photo shoot at the park that we had rescheduled twice due to rain. I hope the pictures are good because it was so nice out. Good luck with your get together! Hope it doesn't storm.
What's with the olds and saving things not worth saving? On the way home from the grocery store, mom nabbed a petunia that must have fallen out of a plastic pot and onto a pallet. Seriously?
All in all it was a good night I think. Man cold #61 of this cold and flu season is on its way out. V was mostly pleasant tonight until bath time. Hopefully msniq has an easy one today.
Went shopping tonight. I found the sketchers shoes I wanted at Famous Footwear but they were out of my size. They're more $$ on Amazon and Zappos so I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Then I went next door and got 2 new pairs of short, 3 tops and (finally) a new jean jacket. All in size medium and the shorts are size 8!! I'm officially back to my pre-pregnancy size and lower than the weight I was when I got pregnant. Although I was up 10 pounds then so I do have more to go. I wish I had actually stuck with WW earlier and not dragged my feet for 2+ years after having DD. Oh well. I need to tone up big time and would like to lose 15 more pounds but I feel much better TTC at the weight I am now rather than where I was even 5 months ago.
Ds had a sleepsack on when dh put him in his crib. Just checked the monitor to see if he was asleep yet and.....he's not wearing a sleepsack! 31 months, not a bad run. Hopefully he doesn't climb out of his crib :/
@republicrat i swear with baby #2 my bladder is so much worse. at 26 weeks i'm seriously getting up to pee like 4-5x a night.
and by having to go back to see your username i just realized this whole time i've thought you were envino.veritas, an old school mm'er. have i been wrong lol?!
That's me! I deactivated and changed my name. It was too confusing so I changed it back.

Front brakes and rotors it is. They don't hear the noise but said no codes came up and no engine light is on so it is fine otherwise. It cost $320 which isn't too bad.

Oh! I am glad my first insticts were correct lol. I still think it seem early for rotors!, so that sucks. I am jealous of the price lol.
