The last several months I've been getting lash extensions, and while I absolutely LOVE them, I'm starting to think maybe latisse would be a more cost effective way to get the long lush lashes I've come to love.
To those that use latisse, where do you buy it? How much is it? How long does it last? Does it actually work? Can you share some pictures with me? And lastly, does it really change your eye color?
I love my lash extensions but I have weirdly found myself missing my mascara, which you shouldn't wear with extensions but can wear with latisse.. I also wouldn't mind saving myself a near $160 a month lol.
I've been using Latisse on and off for a year now. I use it just every other day, so I think I spend maybe around $40/mth? Maybe even less because the little bottle lasts forever.
It works. It's not making my lashes "lush" like extensions did, but they are longer. So much so that I had to cut back use because they were hitting my swim goggles and sports sunglasses.
I did like extensions quite a bit more, but I hated not being able to rub my eyes, wear waterproof eyeliner, mascara, etc. The Latisse is a great 2nd option. It hasn't changed my eye color at all. I have light brown eyes. Sorry...no pictures to share.
I got a RX from my doctor. It was funny because I called my OB to get a RX for Zofran because I was so queasy and before I hung up the phone with the nurse, I asked if they could also call in a RX for Latisse. They did. No big deal. I have Googled and there are places that sell it online but since it is a RX product, I personally do not feel comfortable getting it anywhere other than from the pharmacy.
It definitely made my lashes long. Full? No. It didn't like magically sprout new lashes where there weren't lashes across my lashline. So that's something to think about.
@blonde407, the timing of your post is excellent. I've been doing the extensions as well for several months and while I love how they look and not having to wear mascara, it's hard for me to schedule appointments to have fills and it's getting expensive. Actually they also get so long they get a little wild too. I called a local dermatologist\skin spa and we discussed the differences at length. She had personal experience with both and ended up doing better with the latisse. I think I'm going to make the switch as well.

Because it requires a Rx and has the possible side effect of changing your eye color, my mom started using Babe Lash, which I can get for a discount at the beauty supply store. Before that she used LiLash, which also is amazing (but Latisse sued them over the shape of the wand, which is dumb - probably because they know this is a better product with no side effects or Rx). I think you can still get it in Canada though.
Anyway, my mom's eyes were basically balding, maybe menopause or something, and now she actually has nice eyelashes! Like pp said, I think these products either stimulate more growth or prevent them from falling out, so you don't really get them to be fuller exactly. It might look a little fuller though since it's keeping them in there better, but I don't think you'd get 'new' growth.
Hi! I am a reg over on BNOTB, but I have been using Latisse for almost 2 years and LOVE it!! I order from lovelatisse.com. They have a deal going on until the end of May: buy a 5ml kit and get a voucher for a free 3ml kit. Promo code: "bogo" for that and if you use code "14daisies" you will get $14 off.
Here is before (don't mind my terrible eyebrows, I have had them corrected since then!):
After (this is today) they literally almost touch my eyebrows when my eyes are open:
Your lashes look amazing, sitnspin ! And this website sells the exact thing that a doctor would call in and pick up at a pharmacy? I'm guessing a pharmacy is where people get it from??lol
Right now I get classic sets, so that's one extension per lash. What I love about the extensions is the length so when I say lush I wasn't necessarily meaning volume. I have thought about getting volume sets but that would then set me back over $200 a month which is just insane.
I might just have to cancel my apt for my fill on Wednesday and go with latisse.--8ml for $105 is great if it's the real deal.

Hmm, I get Latisse at the pharmacy and it's a lot more than this place. But his online reviews are terrible. How many times have you ordered from them?

I've used Latisse on & of for several years. It does not change your eye color if used as directed. The only documented case of that happened when it was used as EYE DROPS directly in the eyes to treat glaucoma. No documented cases of Latisse doing this. Without a doubt it increases both the length and the number of my lashes. Yes they hit my eyeglasses. And yes to more lashes, they go all the way to my tearducts. The first thing that happened after using it a few weeks was that I saw a billion tiny new lashes erupting all along my lash line (easy to see under 10x magnification cosmetic mirror). After that they just grew and grew. I get mine from cosmetic surgeons. If you go to the Latisse website they have a list of local providers. They run bogos about twice a year, so that is when I buy it. I'M STILL USING LAST YEARS VIAL and I haven't even opened the smaller one yet. This is because once my lashes max out, & then I cut back to only using it 3 times a week. I love Latisse.
I have two friends who used Latisse and had great results with length. One friend stopped using it because she claimed it started changing her eye color (which are/were a light seafoam blue). She's kinda a drama queen, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's all in her head.
I think I pay $185 for the 5ml. Saving $70 is tempting but those reviews have me nervous.
I just checked out the reviews and they all seem pretty legit and positive. Im going to call the office number in the morning and then might pull the trigger. If it's the real deal and says me $70 and a trip to a doctors office, seems worth it.

Sorry for my late response, I was on vacation all last week. I have ordered from him quite a few times in the past 2 years with no troubles or complaints at all.
Thanks, sitnspin. I ordered from him last week after I saw him listed on Latisse's provider list ad called and spoke with someone in their office. Since I have ordered, I have received multiple emails with confirmations, tracking number, updated tracking info, and coupon codes for other deals. So far I'm please. I'm getting my package today so I'm excited.

Great! It will take you a few weeks to get the full results from the daily application. Let me know how you like it! I should be getting a delivery this week.
