Our TV won't turn on. It went black the other night and the standby light is on, but it won't come on. It's only 1.5 years old. I'm annoyed.
If it is out of the standard warranty period, check the benefits of the cc you used to purchase it. I was surprised to find that my Visa covered an additional year for purchases.
DS1 is "graduating" preschool today! I think they are just performing a little song for the parents and maybe a quick little ceremony or something. Then all the kids just get to run wild at the park and we have a potluck lunch.
I can't believe my first "baby" is going to start elementary school in just 3 months! Crazy!

I will keep that in mind, thanks! We bought it at Target with our Red card.
it has been a rough week for us. This daycare transition is not going smoothly. I mean, everyone says that it's normal, but DD literally had to be pried off of me, screaming, this morning when H had to take her to school. If we say the word school, she will usually start crying. The drop off meltdowns are so upsetting. Yesterday, her 4th day at the new place, was the first day that she wasn't crying when I picked her up (the other days, they assured me that she hadn't cried all day and had some reason or another for why she was in tears when I got there, though they did say that she was "teary-eyed" a lot of the time). I call in the middle of the day and they assure me that she's okay, walking around, holding hands with the teachers and even playing a little bit here and there. It's heartbreaking. Today is day 5 and seemed to be off to a bad start. Will it get better soon?
Q starts daycare on Tuesday, and R the following Monday, so I'm running some errands today to get the last of what we need and my mom is here to watch the babies.
I'm also getting a haircut but still trying to decide what to do. It hasn't been cut since Halloween and is way longer than I normally keep it. Guess I'll make a decision in the chair!
I drove to work/daycare today, which gave me the chance to chill out with V at dropoff. Well, not "chill", lol. He was his usual adorable ultra high-energy self, dumping blocks, knocking over friends, running around and yelling like a mad man. Maybe we should be finding activities that give him a chance to burn off more energy.
We are attempting to "combine the naps" today. I have a work lunch thing at 1 and my husband had a phone interview come up at 1. I strolled DD around during what would've been her first nap, she already pooped, lunch is done. Now all that is left is to toss her in the crib in a few minutes and hope this works.
We are leaving in 3 hours to go oot for two nights. I am in pjs and have not even though about packing. Dh is going to mow the lawn. We will probably miss the window for a car nap for Ds.
I also just had my first cup of coffee in over a month! I had a major aversion for it when I was first pg, which made me so sad. It has been sounding better recently and it was delicious. Phew!
On a daycare tour this morning the director told me that several of his staff speak American.
To be fair, sometimes it seems like H and I speak different languages...
(he's English, in case that joke went over your head
I can virtually guarantee that none of his staff are of the England English variety.
He also told me that he has many American parents at his daycare. I think some of his Hispanic families might take issue at being defined as not American....
It is basically just in title but it sounds much more important. I may also get a small salary raise as well but that hasn't been approved yet. Very exciting since I've had the same title since I started here almost 6 years ago.
I'm taking myself to a foot massage place over lunch. I should probably work to make up time from being off yesterday but IDGAF.
I think you are allowed to be in "just survival mode" with your job right now. Don't get yourself fired by showing up drunk or something, but take care of yourself!
Stopped at the grocery on the way home from daycare and bought every trick the pedi recommended (glycerin suppositories, baby prunes, prune juice.) It figures that as soon as we walk in the door at home, DS craps his pants. It's like he knew I had plans for him this weekend.
