Fortunately for me my first son was sleeping in 3 hour increments from the start. So, in my defense I was not expecting the polar opposite. That, and being deliriously tired lead me to ask for help.
I cried every single day for K's first two weeks when bedtime approached because I was so exhausted.
It's okay to ask for help or suggestions, even if the best most of us can offer is commiseration. Newborns are hard.
I have no idea why @notquiteblushing called you out for that post, but don't let it bother you.
Are you using Harvey Karp's method of the 5 S's? That made a big difference for us. Also this CD.
Thank you. The first few nights I just sat in bed crying because I knew I wasn't going to be sleeping. Last night was better, though.
I will definitely be purchasing that book.
If you go to YouTube, there are some very helpful videos of Karp doing the 5 S's. I wouldn't call it entirely a game changer because our son has been a shitty sleeper since Day 1, but it did make a big difference.
Cut yourself some slack, too. This is normal newborn stuff, but it's also normal postpartum emotion.
I am so not breezy about how my child dresses but I need to unclench. I have friends that take their kids to the park in their pajamas or nightgowns with boots. I can't handle my kid's pants not matching her top.
This is hard for me. I've gotten more deliberate in buying clothes so everything will match in the loosest sense of the word. But she wants to wear stripes with stripes or dots with dots and nothing ever really works. I've embraced the latest desires for her to wear a princess dress everywhere because it hides her crazy outfits.

Another reason that uniforms rock!
I'm on my phone and can't remember who said their uniform skirts run $47 a piece. What?!? I buy DD's uniform supplies at Children's Place or old navy. She just needs navy blue pinafores and skirts and polo shirts of any color that we sew a school patch onto.
I know almost nothing about the plot of Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, HIMYM, or Big Bang Theory. I have not seen a single episode of any of these shows.
I actually watch TV, but apparently not these shows, somehow. I'm sure they're good!
The last are actually not particularly good. And Game of Thrones was too weird a combo of sex and violence for me, but everyone else ai know loves it.
DH took the boys out while dd napped so I finally saw Fifty Shades of Grey. Omg, it was sooooo cheesy! I can't believe all the critics who were bemoaning it's popularity as if it would lead to the downfall of feminism. Did we see the same movie? Some parts were so corny I got second hand embarrassment watching it, lol.

I went to the farmers market with my bff this morning, instead of veggies/fruit I bought a banana split mocha thing at the coffee shop. I'm not gonna lie, it was delicious!

I just got an invitation for a wedding that is 6 MONTHS away. Small wedding, all family is local. And it's on a Friday. At 5 p.m. I hate Friday weddings.
