What's everyone doing for the holiday weekend?

Hopefully lots of gardening, landscaping, and interior painting. But I have a toddler, so probably more kid wrangling

Checking out more of the new town. Tonight I'm going to a dinner and movie event with a local online mom group. I've never met these people before, but they're from the internet, so how bad could it be?

Tomorrow morning I'm running with a group of people that I found at a park 2 weeks ago, I asked them if they were part of a running club and they invited me to come along. After that, BIL and his family are coming out and we're taking the kids hiking. BBQ on Sunday to celebrate my baby's big second birthday

Other than that, trying to finish the unpacking of the stuff. My office is a disaster right now.

Playing furniture musical chairs. Guest room furniture goes downstairs, nursery furniture goes into the former guest room, Shorti's new big girl furniture gets assembled and goes into her room, desks and ikea wardrobe storage thingies go from the IL's house and the basement where they've been hiding up to the new office/workout room. With all that a heavy side of "what the fuck is this random box of crap/construction supply/god knows what, can we throw it away/donate it and if not, where is going to live?" which will culminate in a dump/donation run with things like extra tile and boxes of flooring (anybody need a small room's worth of engineered click-lock oak in the Maryland area?), extra stair treads (why we have extras I have no idea), extra ceiling tiles, and whatever else is lurking in the basement.


Oh, and we're getting all this done by bribing our friends with a cookout and firepit, so somewhere in there I have to get the house in reasonable shape for guests and cook some food.

I just put together the weekend to do list and sent it to DH.

Tonight:
Mow lawn (DH)
Pick up lawn waste bags and tubs for blueberry plants (me)
Build and fill 2 garden boxes (me)
Replace carpenter ant filled garden box wood with cedar planks (me)

Tomorrow:
Stop by bank and get $200 in 10s to pay the helpers (me)
Return dead fruit trees to HD and get replacements plus several other things (me)
Finish leaf clean up in the front yard (north side of the house) (both)
Do a quick round of weeding in areas to be mulched (both)
Spread mulch in front of house and in the garden (all hands on deck)
Plant replacement trees and blueberry plants (me)

Sunday:
Install last garden gate panel (both)
Install last 25 ft of chicken wire of garden fence (me)
Install cane bolts on garden gate panels (DH)
Deal with leaves and weeds in back yard (both)
Mulch (both)
Powerwash deck (if it starts raining)

Monday:
If raining: trip to local greenhouse to buy flowers (both)
If not raining:
    Break down old fence panels, gate panels and deck platform (both)
    More mulching (both)

Wow!  This is impressive!  I really need to do something like this. 

Tonight I have theatre tickets, my mom is joining me for the show and we're doing dinner first.  She has been out of town for a couple weeks so it will be nice to catch up.

I had a friend who had surgery yesterday so I'll be seeing her sometime this weekend.  Otherwise, I'm hoping to pick up some patio furniture and spend as much time as I can cleaning and organizing.  I don't want to, but really really need to

We are enroute t our boat for the weekend. Really looking forward to it. Monday off. Weather is beautiful, might get a couple pop up rain showers on Monday.

We're "camping" at the new house this weekend. Sleeping indoors, but no furniture there yet, so we're calling it camping. Hoping for some showings while we're there, but that's probably unlikely with the holiday & graduation.

Plans include more weeding and possibly planting outside. Installing the dishwasher, microwave, and two toilets. We're also hoping to paint both boys' bedrooms this weekend. That's probably a pretty lofty goal considering the kids are 4.5 and 21 months, but we can dream, right?

Pruning. Sanding and painting drywall. Shopping for floor tiles. Catching a few rays on the deck (perfect weather today).

So far H has mowed and installed a new high powered bathroom fan. I am a happy. The other fan barely sucked at all and was loud.

Yesterday I had a counselling appointment with an 11 yr old (love her) and then went for a pub lunch (craft beers).

Today I went shopping and bought a dress for work as well as makeup. We're going on a date night tonight at a Spanish tapas restaurant.

Tomorrow, we'll have breakfast my my MIL's house (and I can take 'after' pics of our bedroom so far now that the carpet is in) and then going to tea at a neighbour's place with some weeding and cleaning in-between.
