I've purchased a bunch of A&A swaddle blankets that I plan to use for a variety of things (blanket, swaddle, nursing cover, etc.), 2 Summer Infant Swaddle Mes, and 1 first years swaddle. The last two options go up to about 14 lbs.
When did you stop swaddling and go to a sleep slack? I'm trying to decide if I should put some larger swaddling option on my registry.
DS was 5 mos, when we went to cribs. DD I still swaddle arms out at 7 mos. But she's tiny. I could put her in a sleep sack but she rolls her to tummy and sleeps fine in it.
Pretty early on with DS, maybe 2 months? He was breaking out of the swaddle consistently by then and slept fine in a sleep sack. He had outgrown the first size swaddle we had by then (one of the velcro ones) and was in the next size up. He was 8 lbs, 6 oz. at birth.

About 3 months. I loved the A&A blankets and used those until she was busting out. Then I liked the miracle blanket. I had some of those swaddle me's but I didn't like them.
Ds1 was swaddled until about 4 months. DS2 was until 6 months (when we sleep trained). DS 3 is 9 weeks and still swaddled. We used the Miracle Blanket for all of them, and it's never done us wrong.
When he started rolling in it at 6 months old. He was in a sleep sack from 6 months - 2.5 years. DD is still swaddled at 9 weeks and will be for a long time. We use the Miracle Blanket for both, it's awesome!
Way too late. Right after he turned six months. We had moved and he went into his own room after sharing ours and he was getting in three teeth so we let him be swaddled for a week or so after our move then put him in a sleep sack.
A couple days old. He gets too hot and sleeps fine without. My vote is to hold off- you have enough to get started and don't waste $ if baby doesn't like it. You can always buy later.

We switched to the halo swaddle sack at 2 months. Couldn't get a tight enough swaddle with a&a once my son got a bit older. We swaddled until 4 months. He was a great sleeper and swaddling helped in the evenings and overnight.
