What do you allow your kid to watch?
My ds (5) is very into animals and learning about them. We watch documentaries on animal planet a lot and he is obsessed with that Disney bears movie. About a month ago we found one on netflix with a mother lion and her cubs and they showed the lion actually killing a deer and eating it afterwards before I could turn it off. Ds didn't get scared and so I let him watch the rest. Dh and my parents feel like I should be shielding him from that kind of stuff. Wdyd?
I never shielded C from those type of documentaries. She's pretty fascinated with them. Of course, this is the same kid that asked for "more pig please" she were having pork chops. She's also curious what part of the cow we are eating when we have steak.
I'm not sure about L yet, it just hasn't come up. I'll limit it if it upsets her, but I'm waiting to see.

I think this is a depends on the kid situation.
My son does the same thing in asking what part of the animal we are eating.
