DS has had a stuffy nose for the last week or so. He was spitting up a ton the last few days, but much better yesterday. Now his poop smells pretty bad, which is very unusual. I can't generally smell it at all. He's EBF. Is this a virus working out of his system? Worthy of calling the pedi? I've been taking his temperature pretty regularly and he's never run a fever throughout this week.

It's normal. He's probably swallowing mucus and other crud which may be upsetting his system a bit.
I think I barely was in my bed before I was asleep tonight.
Pumping twice a night instead of three times has been going shockingly well. My body actually adjusted to it and I feel a tiny bit less tired. I'm still really tired though.
I'm hoping to sleep in a little tomorrow. If DS doesn't sleep hopefully I can beg DH to take him in the morning.
I've only slept four hours. I'm having major anxiety about the fact that the youngest most inexperienced doctor in my practice us doing my c section today and on a holiday weekend no less when staff always hate working. I just keep thinking about all of the paperwork I should have gotten to dh first with end of life stuff.

Its 330am and I'm up because my heartburn us so bad I just couldn't lay in bed anymore. I always have it in the second half of pregnancy, but this time around I've generally been pretty good about keeping it in check with lite meals for dinner, tums, etc. But my dad was in town, so we went out for pizza last night and I ate way too much and had a soda and now I'm totally paying for it. Ugh.
So in on the couch trying to lay more upright. Hopefully I can doze back off soon. And definitely going to take a nap later.

I had a ton of heartburn when I was pregnant. All food seemed to cause it, not just spicy stuff. Zantac helped tremendously. Hope you get some rest.
E woke up a bit ago and went back to sleep after I gave him the pacifier. I'm afraid to try falling back asleep, lol. At least I don't have to work so I can just go back to sleep after he wakes up again!

Ugh, hugs. Giving birth is scary! But you'll be fine. DS was born the day before Thanksgiving and it was actually kind of great because there were less other patients than normal (basically people didn't schedule electives for then) so we got a lot of attention. Fingers crossed for you, though! You got this.
We tried having him in the room with us and alternating who took the wakeups last night. But he made noise for a solid three hours so we kept checking to see if he was awake or still sleeping. I'm tired.
I loved being in bed all night, though, instead of in the glider for half the night.

Good luck!! Don't know if this helps at all but I had my baby just before a holiday weekend (Easter) and we were both in the hospital, him in the nicu, and we got amazing care! A lot of times staff pick what holidays they want to work. At least it's not Christmas! I'm sure things will go well.
We did our first road trip yesterday- it took us almost 9 hrs (normally 6) because of holiday traffic and G being terribly fussy, enough that we pulled over for awhile! Didn't get to bed til after 2. He just ate and I need to pump but I so want to go back into bed...

I spent years working as a nurse in the hospital setting. Do NOT worry about care! The staff will come in and do their job like any other day. It is not like we have to work every holiday! Seriously, it will be just like any other shift and you will not be treated differently. Plus often they get paid a bit more-so there is an incentive there;)
Also sometimes the younger doctors are the most fresh from training and have more efficient ways of doing things. You will be fine! On my third section I had a very experienced doc who was so impressed with my previous incision he called my younger doc in another state to learn from him!
