It's frwaking cold today. 2 degrees. I have a coat and a scarf. I have an exam today and for any person who goes to school with kids - hats off to you. This has been so hard. And I am so nervous, I forgot to have a coffee at home. Weird. Will buy one before the exam. Will have to pee. Eek
How do people travel frequently with little ones?? We drove 4 hours last night to my aunt's house. We got here and of course DS caught his second wind, as expected. He started showing tired signs and then fought sleep for the next 2 hours. He finally caved around midnight and slept for a good 5 hour stretch with a few cries here and there. Today we'll continue on the next leg of our trip- 5 hours to my mom's house.
We last traveled with him in October. It was miserable then, and so far, this isn't shaping up to be much better. I can only hope that my mom will finally see that it's SO much easier for her to jump on a plane than it is for us to bring DS (and all of his gear) to her. Mind you, DH & I are completely unnecessary in his journey, as my mom is only concerned with her grandson. At least I may get a chance to do a little shopping alone. Nordstrom (new bras!) here I come!!
Feeding P. His NB photos are at 9, including some family ones. I feel and look like shit. I am also concerned that my stitches aren't healing ok. In other words, I am a ball of stress.
DD is up but reading in her crib. I think she will be in her big girl bed by Sunday night and I am sad at the thought of her not being contained so nicely.
DH is finishing up some stuff in her room today, while she and I run errands all morning. I think I'm going to take her for her first haircut. Then we are having friends over for a BBQ later. I'm so excited to eat a hot dog.

Ugh wtf. MIL agreed to watch L overnight Sunday so we could go to a wedding and then keep him Monday morning so we could go test drive minivans. Just got an email from her taking it back "oh BTW we changed our minds and decided to go for a bike ride with friends early Monday morning. We can watch him any other day though!!" Well the point of Monday was so H doesn't have to miss work and we could pick one before month end. Awesome.
So it's raining which means suddenly I have to get my house birthday party ready in the next hour. Several of my mom friends have kids all born within a few weeks of each other so our whole group is doing a big joint party. It'll be like Christmas... And for some reason I volunteered my house as a contingency location! Of course I didn't know at the time I volunteered that dh had coaching obligations today and wouldn't be around to help get ready. Wish me luck! Hopefully I'll succeed at sweeping the floors and cleaning the toilet before anyone arrives this all depends on ds2 actually napping though.
Cue my weekly complaint about fucking pets. I'm up because they insist on being fed and start being destructive and annoying if it doesn't happen on time. C's still asleep. Ugggggggh.
We have no plans whatsoever today. Maybe we'll run a few errands while H is at work to kill some time?
We're renting a condo at the lake and I feel sorry for the people below us. The three boys, our two at ages 3 and 21 months, plus another 2 1/2 year old are well, loud. Starting at 6 am.
It's already been a long stressful morning and I'm putting the baby down for a nap. Can't wait till we're on a boat! <---- sarcasm, boating was NOT my idea and I'm fairly certain it's going to take several years off of my life.
Also, no wifi or baseball since its the most basic of direct tv packages I've ever seen.

I think we are going to buy a new car today! Or not. The dealership won't tell us until we get there (they say they are figuring it out) how long it will take them to get the color we want and I'm not waiting months for it when I can buy it now at a dealership an hour away.
Managed to pack our suitcase while drunk last night, and now Jack and I are off to Penn Station to meet up with my mom and head down to MD for the weekend. H helped us into the cab, and surprisingly Jack didn't cry when he realized H wasn't coming with us.
DS had a later than usual bedtime since we got home late (by his standards) last night so by some miracle he's still asleep. I'm about to jump in the shower, then we're off to meet friends for breakfast and go to a big truck event. Hope it's not crazy crowded!
How about that time when we went to wedding and the moment that we stood and the bride starting walking down the aisle, dd2 vomited all over dh. Add that one to the never could I imagine what happens as as parent....
