Do your kids harass you to play with them?

Listen, I love my kids. But I'm not playing Legos for three fucking hours every day.

I literally just sent L to her room IMMEDIATELY AFTER RETURNING FROM TAKING HER OUT FOR DOUGHNUTS because she was so rude when I told her I wanted to read for a bit and she was welcome to play in her room. She stomped off to her room yelling "all you ever do is read and sleep and eat and drink!!!"

They used to all the time. Now having twins is finally becoming cool and they are getting awesome at entertaining each other so I can watch them play and smile lovingly while drinking coffee and goofing around online.

Mine finally figured out about a year ago that it's way more fun to play with each other than it is to play with us. Hallelujah!

Yes, at this very moment. Currently sitting on the couch while my 5-year old throws a baseball around saying over and over again, "All right, Mom." "All right, Mom." "All right, Mom.", as if to entice me to play catch with him. The second I look up from the computer the ball will fly at me-it's like he's lying in wait. I cannot play 9 innings of baseball with you. I just cannot.

ETA:  yep, i just looked up and a foam baseball hit me in the chest.

Omg yes. He will pester me to go play Legos and I can last about 30 minutes. Then my back hurts, I have to swap the laundry and I am ready to do something else. I was so thankful when a kid his age moved in two doors down. Now when he is like this I either send him next door or have the neighbor come over.

My boys are still young so it's not so much harassing me to play as just harassing me in general.

I'm hoping this will be one of the perks of twins, that they'll keep each other entertained so I don't have to.

My dogs do this. They can't talk, but they do whine constantly. One tries to shove her head under whatever you're doing. "YOURE PETTING MY HEAD NOW INSTEAD!!"
They also will not go to their rooms or just watch tv.

Not as much anymore because they play with each other more.

When they color they always try to get me to color which then turns into me being the only one coloring while they tell me what colors to use. I quickly caught on to their manipulation and tell them 'I know how to color it is your turn now'.

I just threw a bunch of hats and tutus on the floor for dress up time. Dress up time really means mommy needs coffee. So far, she's falling for it.

My dad is running interference today. But any other day? YES.

That said, one of their best memories from last fall was playing with a balloon. I sat on the couch and swatted a balloon back to them. They loved it and I barely had to move.
