So I have to label everything according to preschool policies. Did you just use sharpie? Do I really need to label his shirt and underwear? I mean it will be on him.... Also L is use to snacking a lot during the day....do you think if he is hungry they will let him have a snack if it's not snack time? If not how should I prepare him for that? (Can you tell I'm nervous?!?!)
It will be on him until he has an accident, then it will be off and get lost. Label EVERYTHING.
They will not let him have a snack outside of snack time because then every other kid will want one too. He will be plenty distracted with things to do and new people, I doubt he will be asking for snacks all the time.
Kids follow peers when it comes to snack / food times so yours should be fine.
I never labeled anything at our old daycare but need to do it for our new place. I can't remember for the life of me what label makers MMMers recommend but I am trying to avoid using a Sharpie since I have two boys and hand me downs are inevitable.
I label C's stuff with last name only now for that reason.

I think he will be too busy to feel like he needs extra snacks. They should have a morning snack though.
Clothes don't get mixed up too often, but occasionally they are changing after water play or something and there's a big pile of pants and suddenly no one can remember which is theirs lol.
Hoodies, hats and mittens are the things that got misplaced/mixed up the most in my rooms.

I can't imagine they'll let him snack whenever he wants. That would be a nightmare with a room full of kids. Just tell him his teachers will let him know when it's time for lunch/snack/etc. He'll get the hang of the schedule pretty quickly.
I just use a sharpie and only label the extra clothes I leave in her bucket, not the clothes she is wearing. DD2 is a grazer, and she has been absolutely fine with scheduled snack time. He will do great!
I used the name stickers on every thing except underwear which I use a sharpie on. If you kid is 3 there will likely be accidents at school.
At out daycare the kids eat about every 2 to 3 hours or so. It is plenty and no the kids do not eat between formal snack times. Breakfast ends at 9:00 and then there is a ~10:30 snack, ~12 lunch, post nap snack and then fruit at 5:00ish to they aren't starving when they leave.
I label everything and we have already lost two bottle lids and 1 pair of socks since DS started daycare on May 1.
We use Oliver's Labels stickers.
I wouldn't worry about the snacks. When we moved to France, we discovered there is no morning snack culture. (Snack time is 4:30, for everyone, even DH's co-workers ran out at this time.) I thought DD wouldn't make it between breakfast and lunch with no snack, but she adapted just fine. She was 3.5.
Most kids survive fine without snacking, but we had one little girl in our class who had behavior issues if her blood sugar got out of whack. They would pull her into the office and give her a cheese stick.
I didn't label the clothes my kids wear daily, but I did label the clothes they keep at school for when accidents happen. And I labeled their snack bag and water bottle because that's what we send in every day. That's it.
We had to send in a change of clothes in a Ziploc with their name. Otherwise I only labeled things they take off- coats, hats, etc. Is this an all day or just a few hours? I doubt they'll be doing water play for a few hours so I wouldn't worry about labeling as much.
They'll snack during snack time. You could try to start now, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Kids will learn at some point.

He's only going 8:30-12:30 2 days a week but one of the days they go to the splash pad on site. So he will have to change. Thanks again ladies. I've been talking it up and today we went to the splash pad that's there (we had to join the center for school) and he loved it!
We used Mabel's Labels for preschool stuff and they were great.
I labeled her extra change of clothes, her book bag and lunch box, her cup and food container and anything that she might take off when she got there (jacket, hat). I didn't go overboard with labeling and it worked out ok.
WRT snack- he'll follow their cues and probably won't even miss more snacking. If you want to prepare him, you could get him on a similar schedule. (DD went from 9-11 and they had snack at 10, which is actually when we normally did snack time at home)
