My Dd2 outgrew a milk allergy. She never reacted to goldfish, but started sneezing and getting a runny nose if she had yogurt or cheese. A straight sip of milk totally did her in though. She got a rash and had the sneezing/runny nose reaction too. It always seemed like an odd reaction to us! allergies are a pain, so it would be great if you don't have to deal with it.
Mine reacted to oats...she outgrew it pretty early (maybe 15-18mo). She got several accidental exposures & would always react & then she just stopped....but she'd have digestive issues still for a while. It's possible it's something else or she outgrew it already. You could do a food challenge.

did the allergist do a scratch or blood test? You might want to ask to do a food challenge in the office. My daughter had blood tests done and they showed a dairy allergy. We had hoped she would outgrow it by two but when she did the food challenge in the office she reacted. Dairy is hard to avoid plus she needs calcium so I think I would challenge her dairy tolerance. GL.
Ugh, @peggyolson I'm sorry. The whole problem with FPIES is not being able to just test for it I'd ask for a food challenge because that's the only way to know for sure.

Scratch test doesn't work with FPIES. It will show negative Unless they also have a traditional ige allergy to the food too. Only way to test FPIES is to expose them to the food And watch for the reaction. It's super frustrating.

DS (14 months) has a milk allergy. He is slowly outgrowing it, though. He now doesn't react when I have dairy (he's nursing), and he can have cheese and SOME brands of yogurt. He still reacts to milk/ice cream, and many yogurts. I started trying dairy in my diet again at 11 months with great success. I'm hopeful for him to fully outgrow his allergy (intolerance?) in the near future. Hopefully that's the case gator you as well
