I have 4 so matching gets pretty pricey, so we only have a few things they all match in. Plus they're 8,5,3 and 1 so few stores carry matching things in all their sizes. When we had 2 we matched a lot more. To match/ coordinate them all now it's janie and jack and gymboree and we have a few lilly pulitzer dresses they all have. The 8 year old throws it all off, carters does carry some things in her size- their Christmas Pj's were from there last year. I prefer coordinating to matching personally, I coordinate dd3 and 4 often

I don't have them match, but most of their stuff comes from J&J, tea, and ON/gap. DD2 will be wearing most of DD1's old stuff once she hits a year, unless the seasons are too far off.
Generally I only do matching/coordinating clothes for holidays. DD2 primarily gets hand me downs from DD1 and it doesn't make sense to get brand new matching sets for everyday wear. Occasionally I throw her a bone and get something brand new for DD2 and she melts with pleasure. Poor thing has definitely started to notice that most new items are for DD1.
I get a lot of clothes from HA because it lasts so long and can be passed down. I always shop sales and Zulilly so it's not as expensive as it sounds. I just divide the price by two! I also like Lands End clearance for some stuff too.
I almost never match my girls. For one, DD1 has a mind of her own about what she wears. For another, mine are 3 years apart and DD1 is big for her age and DD2 is small, so it's not super easy to find matching stuff in toddler and baby sizes. Maybe once DD2 is in toddler sizes it will be easier but she's still in 12-18 months. For a third, I am Cheapy McCheaperson and buying matching outfits is way more expensive than utilizing the many hand me downs we have (especially for DD2).
I did buy a handful of matching outfits, including big sis/little sis stuff, for the girls to wear when DD2 was first born. DD1 enjoyed matching her sister then and we got some cute pics. But other than that, and one other time when my BFF sewed my girls matching Christmas dresses, it's not really my thing (or my girls' thing).
Not usually, since DD2 is almost entirely in hand me downs. My MIL buys matching outfits for them sometimes, and they love it. They are wearing matching maxi skirts and tanks today. Most of the matching stuff is Osh Kosh.
Hells yeah I did mostly for the oldest 2. They still like matching sometimes. The youngers, I got too cheap. I sopped at Gymbo, carter, J&J mostly back when they were little.
I almost never match them. I'm not really drawn to matchy things anyway, and they just have such different personalities it seems weird to match them now. And their coloring is different-dd1 is very fair (Norwegian side coming through), and dd2 has darker skin (my italian side).
For special occasions, I will coordinate their outfits.

We rarely match. Sometimes when I'm buying new for Dd1 I love a print or pattern so much that I buy it for dd2 as well. It's rare though. Never more than once a season.
I have found value in buying clothes from HA, Lands End, LL bean, and Boden because while they are more expensive at first they actually hold up through one kid well enough to be hand me downs to dd2 and not look terrible.
Eta: the grandmas like to match them. And I find myself buying coordinating items more than exact matches. Dd2 had to have to same crazy patterned skirt that dd1 wanted. So now I have two of those

I usually only do matching outfits for holidays as it's get pretty expensive for 3 girls. They have matching outfits from HA, Tea, and Mini Boden mostly although there are a few from Old Navy and Target as well.
It just occurred to me recently to match/coordinate them so I've been buying all sorts of things for them. Mostly sized up for the holidays, and a few things for when we visit home next month.
DD1 loves to match DD2 so we have a fair amount of matching stuff. But luckily her definition of matching also extends to both of them wearing the same pattern, regardless of color.

I only plan to do this for special occasions. I like more coordinating than an exact match. I haven't bought anything so far. I have soooo many clothes from E I can't wait to reuse. I take that back! I did buy coordinating dresses from j&j for Christmas this year Two girls to dress! I'm still getting excited thinking about all the sisters pictures!
I tend to do coordinating more than matching, although for pro pictures and special events I tend to have them match.
Most of their current wardrobe is from tea and HA with some baby gap mixed in. I have a friend with twins 2 years older than my girls and I have gotten quite a few hand me downs from her too.
I am a crazy person and am already planning out their outfits for the 2 rehearsal dinners we are attending this summer.
When I buy clothes I buy almost exclusively coordinating, but a lot of out clothes are gifted and our relatives seem to love to gift matching. This was today:
