Nothing crazy complicated, but maybe more complex than chocolate chip cookies. I am so freaking bored and looking for something to do. Give me your favorites!

I'm making these right now for a BBQ tomorrow. A Philly staple: Tastykake Peanut Butter Tandy Kakes. So ao delicious.
2 Tbsp butter 1 cup cold milk 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking powder pinch of salt 2 cups flour 1 jar smooth peanut butter 8oz milk chocolate
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Scold milk and butter in saucepan. Set aside to cool. Combine the next 6 ingredients with the cooled mixture until smooth. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 25-35 minutes, until cake is set. Spread 1/2 - 3/4 of jar of peanut butter on hot cake and put in refrigerator until cool. Over a double boiler, melt chocolate and spread on cooled cake. Refrigerate again until chocolate is hard.
I've got some sour cherries in the freezer, I think I'll make a crisp to have for dessert tonight (we're having grilled salmon on cesear's salad). I think I even have some heavy cream I can whip up to go with it.

I love sour cherries too.....and there is a local place that picks, pits and flash freezes them to sell to a local grocery store. When they come into season, I normally pick up several bags of them (they're $10/2 lb bag - OUCH!).
They make an awesome pie too, but not that ambitious.
I ended up making Japanese cheesecake. Omg, so fluffy! Yum!
I've always wanted to try Japanese cheesecake. Recipe?
Not hard at all. Certainly no more complex than a normal cheesecake. The batter is suuuuper light. Cook time was spot on for me. I didn't have to make any adjustments. I did measure all the ingredients by weight and made sure the eggs, cream cheese, and butter were at room temp.
It's very much like eating a moist sponge cake that tastes like cheesecake.
