I keep thinking about your family and I hope the limbo doesn't last too long. Your daughter is beautiful and I'm glad she's being such a trooper for you.
You have a lot going on so the blues don't surprise me. They may be "normal", but talk to your doctor. Even if they are, you may get something to help you sleep/feel better or some good advice. There is no shame in seeking out help during times like this.
All of those things you asked about are normal. I had issues peeing for weeks after my last catheter/delivery. It finally righted itself. I just can barely feel the area around my scar on my stomach over 3 years later. And the evening blues always got me for the first week or so. I hope you guys get definitive answers soon. She is such a beautiful little thing.
I am sure others answered but yes, my c-section scar is still numb 16 months later. That is normal after any surgery and after awhile you won't notice. Yes, about the moods, there is a lot of changes in hormones and with the added stress of the NICU it sounds normal. It doesn't hurt talking to the nurse about it.
The NICU can be so stressful so try to also take care of yourself. Know you are an amazing mother and take everything day to day, hour to hour, minute by minute. I know it helped me to get out of the hospital for a bit. Whether it was for a walk, to go home and shower or whatever sometimes getting away even when you don't want to is the best medicine.
I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers xoxoxoxo.
I love the photos. She is so cute and you look great. I'm thinking of your DD and I hope you get encouraging news and a treatment plan so you are no longer in limbo. I remember those days very cleary and reading your update made me tear up. Especially the part about the iron hospital crib and all the monitoring leads/cables.
I know she will keep surprising you with how strong and resilient she is. She looks feisty and I have no doubt that she's a fighter! (heart) Sending you lots of love and good thoughts.
