I would like to thank my parents for the privilege of starting the randoms thread today. They are SO FREAKING LOUD-literally no volume control whatsoever.
I finally got Blake down around 10:30 last night from his routine being screwed up (usually down by 8:30) then sat up to visit with my dad until about 11:30.
Around 12:30, Tucker (my dog) started acting really weird. He was pacing around and licking the air kind of jerking his head around and it was freaking me out. I was on the verge of taking him in to the emergency vet, but he ended up throwing up and it seemed to make him feel better. We sat outside for awhile and I stayed up with him until about 3:00 when I was sure he was back to normal. Then probably dozed off around 3:30.
At 5:00 my parents got up to "quietly sneak out" and drive back home. That was the biggest joke ever. They were stomping around, slamming doors, talking in "whispers" that were louder than my normal speaking voice and spoiler alert: Blake woke up and jumped out of bed!
He was hysterical and inconsolable because they were leaving and of course Jeff is out of town until later today. I just want to sleep!!
Old people are loud. I'm sorry. It's always so loud over here when they visit. Hopefully you can reign in his sleeping without much trouble.
It's Aubrey's motn wake up. I'm nursing and rocking her back to sleep. She will be 4 months in several days. How is that possible? I think she is teething. That makes me sad.
J asked for two babies the other day. He told me he wants another little "stister."

I had a dream that I gave birth to a baby girl. She was born a little early, sometime in Nov. I remember her weighing 6 lbs something. I was in awe of her! There was a lot of breastfeeding and pumping going on. I remember asking probies that were there in real life how often I should pump. So vivid. I remember dreaming of a little boy when I was pregnant with C.
Andrew was a hot mess all day yesterday. His behavior was beyond awful. Of course, it was the day of DH's big family reunion. I hate when Andrew has a bad day around people that never see him. If you know him, you know he's a sweet, happy, awesome kid. If yesterday is all you know of him, he's the spawn of Satan.
And then, one of DH's uncles pulls me aside to tell me all about this person that he knows who has autism and how Andrew's behavior is totally typical and blah blah blah. Don't you fucking dare, dude. Andrew is THREE. His behavior is because of that. NOT because of his ASD. He's had a long couple of days, he's in a weird place surrounded by strangers, and he's getting over an ear infection.
I ended up putting Andrew to bed at 6:00 and he passed out immediately. He woke up at five, and now I'm struggling to keep him quiet and happy in a house full of sleeping people. Shoot me now.
Why is is that Lydia can sleep in every day during the week and we have to wake her up. She was up 5:30 yesterday and 5:15 today. On the other hand C is still sleeping at 6:30 and I woke her up yesterday at 7. #canneverwin
I woke up to a message from my.good friend. Her daughter is in hospital with suspected meningitis. She is 12 weeks old. Please pray for her, her name is Zoe and she is an adorable little girl.
I pray she heals completely, that is so very scary.
It's been so freaking cold recently. I felt like I was camping in my own house last night. I woke up around 2 and out on wool socks. I am not turning the heat on at the end of May! It is 62 in my bedroom! It's supposed to warm up today, thankfully.

Oh my gosh that is terrifying! Sending them my thoughts and prayers

That is terrifying. T&P to your friend and her family.
I drank way too much last night. I hate being like that. I never drink hard liquor (just wine and beer) but we started the night at a cocktail bar that didn't serve wine and then someone bought me a margarita and next thing I know I'm drunk off my ass. UGH. So embarrassing.
Sorry you're up so early careyalis! That sucks that they were so loud leaving. Hope you guys have a good nap today.
Thoughts and prayers for your friend jamaicam how scary.
I'm sorry you had a rough day muppetinma! When we were at my parents for Christmas my kids didn't sleep and were awful the whole trip. I was sad that my parents think that's their normal behavior when in reality, it's the exception.
I know it's a silly thing to be annoyed about but it truly does irritate me that so many people on Facebook can't seem to understand the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
This drives me crazy also! The words Memorial and Veteran have obvious meanings, so think about it people!

Tyler stands when he has to pee almost every time now. He only sits to poop. Yesterday I took him to the bathroom and I had to pee also. I realized he hasn't watched me go to the bathroom in a long time. He saw me sit down, gave me a confused look...and then he asked me if I pee out of my butt...
The last 2 nights I've gotten texts that were borderline sexts from random numbers at like 3 in the morning. Both of them use the phrase 'text back'.... wondering if it's a scam of some sort? Or if someone out there is Tinder-ing away and giving out wrong phone #s?
We have to drive to my grandma's today for a surprise party for my dad. She lives about 2 hours away and I have so much to do to get ready. Instead I am sitting in my pjs drinking coffee and probing while Noah watches Jake and the neverland pirates.
I never understand why people are impressed when fathers can adequately care for their children.
This drives me crazy too! I hate hate hate when someone says their husband is "babysitting" their kids. It is not babysitting when it is your own kids!! Will he do everything exactly like me? No. Will Blake Blake be well cared for and happy when I return? Absolutely!

Because they pretend they're idiots. Last night Charles was tasked with heating up the fresh direct mashed potatoes. The directions are as follows: take off cardboard sleeve, leave plastic film in place, microwave for 2 min, let stand 1 min.
He pulls them out of the fridge and asks me what to do. I tell him to read the label (because he should be able to do this BY HIMSELF!!). He appears to read, gets out a fork and starts poking holes in the film. I ask him what he's doing and he just looks at me. Again I tell him to READ THE LABEL! He is a chess master. He went to Yale. He was a VP before 30. Yet somehow at home he acts like a moron. I do not get it!
