My H commented that Sansa needs to learn to play the game a little better than that. I said, "she's learning." She's the world's slowest learner, but she'll get there.

OMGOMGOMG. This was a very satisfying episode.
I totally KNEW that the Red Witch was going to ask to sacrifice Shireen. Now the question is, what will Daddy Stannis decide? And would his crazy wife go behind his back and do it even if he refuses?
Sam & Gilly. Thank God for Ghost, but man, they're so sweet. And them sleeping together was such a contrast (deliberately, I'm sure) to last week. Sam is toughening up, I wonder when he's going to
WTF was up with the Sand Snakes and Bronn? I started liking them a bit in that scene, and Bronn was awesome (apparently he used to be in a boy band, lol) but then it all just went weird and boob-y. I find it highly unlikely that the girls who go to get Marcella chopped into bits are going to give an antidote to the sellsword who foiled their plans.
Poor Sansa. Ugh. UGH. But she's holding up well and she's still fighting. Loved her shot to Ramsey about the bastardy. Man, I really thought she was going to make an impression on Theon that make him useful. She really needs some help. THANKS A LOT, REEK.
And ooooooh, Cersei. You are going to get yours. That actor who plays the High Sparrow is so good. I want to trust him because he seems like such a nice old man, even when I KNOW HE'S A CRAZY FANATIC OF THE WORST KIND.
I love watching Olenna. She steals every scene she's in, so it was weird and kind of sad to see her flummoxed by the High Sparrow and just looking like a worried old lady. Much more fun to see her trading barbs with Littlefinger. Who was the young man he referenced? He said it was the same thing he brought Cersei, and I totally do not understand what he was referencing. The news about Sansa and Ramsey?
LOVED that the Dany/Jorah/Tyrion storyline is progressing. So satisfying to see those characters come together. Can't wait to see what happens with that next!
Who is this that got peeled by Ramsay? When will Sansa say, fuck this noise, I am going to stab this dude in his neck with a rusty ragged piece of metal?
It was the old lady. "The North remembers" servant lady who told her about the candle.

I did not get this scene at all. I don't understand what the point of it was besides "boobs!"

litebright I thought maybe little finger was making a reference to Lancel lannister when he said about bringing oleanna the same thing as cersei. Was little finger involved in bringing him to her at some point?

I'm happy everything is progressing enough that I expect we'll be onto Winds content by next season. So even in George is slow and they make changes, we'll get a general idea of how things go.
Maester Aemon died. I knew it was coming but I was still so sad to see it happening.
Theon still being Reek made me sad. Come on, be Theon again. Redemption arc time!
I've totally been expecting Melisandre to want to kill Shireen in the books, so I am not at all surprised. But still, ugh. I'm hoping Stannis sticks to his "you're my daughter and I love you" line. I'm expecting that if anything she's safer in the show with her father around, but still.
Next episode is Hardholme, so that should be fun. There was a rumour going around that
I don't know why anyone expects Reek to magically become Theon again. He was tortured at the hands of Ramsey. He's only trying to stay alive at this point. I just don't expect him to say "I am Greyjoy" and save the world. Naw. He's a shell of his former self.
I wouldn't put it past Stannis' wife to attempt to sacrifice their daughter. I told my H last night "Stannis ain't going, but his wife would because she ain't shit."
Sansa is going to have to start thinking for herself. This is where i give Arya mad props because she thinks about her revenge and how to go about it. Sansa is trapped in seeking out others for help. Boo. You need to figure out how to play Ramsey because he ain't that bright. He gets his way through exerting extreme violence on people. Study that bastard and then defeat him.
Stabbing Ramsey is a wrong move though. That would leave her in a very, very bad situation. She needs to find another way. And she'll need to do it alone. She has zero friends there. Zero. But Brienne is coming though. That gives me hope.
Ramsey is also a narcissist. She needs to feed him stories of how great he is and play him into his downfall. But, Sansa isn't a strategic thinkier, so this won't work. She doesn't have the gift that Margery does.

Yep - and she needs to lure him into complacency by playing nice for a while, figure out her plan, and then strike.
She does not appear to be bright enough to realize any of this.

THIS! Quit falling back delicately on the damn fainting couch. Start hiding shit in your skirts and when you get the chance, stab the fuck out of Ramsay.
She grabbed a sharp metal object when she was up on the ramparts talking to Ramsay before he showed her the body of the old woman.

Littlefinger is the one who started all of this (it was revealed in an episode last season). He got Lysa Tully to tell her sister that the Lannisters murdered her hubs (when actually, she killed the Hand with poison he provided. He knows about the Baratheon kids being incest bastards, and probably about the murder of Robert too. He knows ALL the things!
Right that is what I meant. Littlefinger has his little fingers all tied up in a bunch of this shit and he probably knows that Lancel got Robert drunk during the hunt which led to his death, etc etc.
I really loved Sansa's scene trying to shake some sense into Theon. I think she felt desperate then - like the repeated nights with Ramsay had gotten to her - but she isn't broken. Stupid Theon. Anyway, I think something has to change with him, otherwise there is no point to the rape scene and no chance for his redemption. My guess is at this point, Sansa starts running her own game completely, and at a key point when she needs him (but doesn't ask) he comes through for her?
I'm worried for Sam and Gilly. I hope Ghost sticks around for them.
Dorne was mostly boring and an excuse for boobs but Bronn's singing is always welcome.
I'm interested to see where Dany, Jorah and Tyrion go.
Cersei getting hers is so delicious already. You dumb dumb dumb fuck. He told you what he was doing and you didn't care.
