Woo hoo! It was not pretty, but I finished! I jammed my hip hard between mile 8-9 and running pretty much ceased....hell even walking killed my hip. I've had such issues with my foot recently and shocking it gave me very little issue. I got no sleep the night before because I was a nervous wreck. We stayed in Boston in Saturday so I after I went back to the hotel and went in the hot tub (with several other runners....lol). After we got home I took Motrin and laid down and felt okay when I got up so we went to a cookout. I feel good today though I am walking gingerly because of my hip. My goal was to finish upright and without medical attention which I did so I am happy, but I am already planning my next half and this time I am going to make sure that I incorporate strength/cross training. I think this time it will be easier because now I know I can do the distance. Official time was 2:57:01, unofficial was was 2:54:35 because I had to stop to go to the bathroom around mile 7.
