I avoided most things, but made an exception for sushi from reputable places when I was out dining with clients on their dime. I also drank some coffee (not very much) and some red wine (again, not very much).
When I went to France at 6 months pregnant, I ate all the soft, unpasteurized cheese and also had some blood sausage (which I am still not sure whether is restricted due to the high iron content or the possibility of infection/listeria?). I was not going to miss out on the very best blood sausage crepe ever from my very favorite Parisian creperie due to pregnancy. Sorry, baby.
