I'd like to know if they memorize the script ahead of time and then try to recollect it while drunk, or if they're reading off cue cards or just repeating what an off-camera person is telling them.

Excuse me, @bunnybean, I realize this has nothing to do with Drunk History but who is the little girl in your signature? So help me, if you say your daughter I will poop and die.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I liked this show better when it seemed like somebody YouTube'd their drunk friend talking about history and then made awesome reenactments to match. The whole idea of getting someone bombed just for the sake of it...I don't know. It takes some of the fun out of it for me.

I will admit to knowing a large number of Londoners get this pissed on a regular basis - binge drinking is a huge norm in England even into one's 40s. It didn't surprise me to see a show based on being drunk and reading history in the UK.

There was a show on BBC America, not sure if they're still making it, where a small film crew would spend the night observing someone as they went out on their night of drinking. Then in the morning, the house would return and show them video footage of their hot mess asses.
That show was interesting to say the least. It's amazing to me how drunk people can get on a regular basis, how their personalities can change or amplify and I guess how little attention or care the people they go out with pay to them. In most cases, the drinker is largely unaware of how bad they get while their friends are like, yup, that's them.
I never really understood it though. It seemed to me that the friends just assumed the drinker was aware of their own behavior while the drinker I guess didn't realize how bad it was.
