I saved the onesie she came home in, another onesie that was really small and showed how tiny she was (she could swim in the one she came home in), a cute dress she wore for Easter, and a diaper. That's so far. It is taking me forever to go through it all
Well, we survived the flooding with little damage. Lots of bad weather here today, but I think it's all over now. Our creek flooded over our driveway bridge, but the water level has already gone down to where it's passable. I'm slightly surprised we didn't lose any trees. I'm also extremely glad that I didn't go into labor today, since leaving our property would have been nearly impossible for several hours this afternoon.
The movers come in two weeks so I am trying to empty the pantry and freezer. Should be some interesting combos over the next two weeks! I found a ton of frozen squash so I'm making squash soup tonight.
We also have 23 packages of salmon in the freezer from dh's fishing last summer. It is going to cost a fortune to ship it, even after we give some away.
I got AJ to give up both toothbrushes without a fight at bedtime, AND when I put him in bed and told him I lived him I think he said "love too". Oh, that kid.
Today turned out the be perfect weather. We hung out in the backyard from nap until bedtime. We grilled, had music on and ate tons of watermelon. It felt like summer. Only 8 days of school left and then it IS summer for DD and I. I can't wait!
DS goes back to daycare tomorrow after two weeks off. I cannot wait. I feel bad but man, I need our routine back.
We're finally moving into our house. It'll go slowly over the next couple days and weeks due to our work schedules. But we will be sleeping there tomorrow night. This is wonderful. Just barely under 1 year of surviving living at my parents' house. It was never supposed to be this long and we're ALL ready to leave.
Someone in our neighborhood decided that Memorial Day is the perfect occasion to set off bottle rockets. The popo just came tearing down our street looking for him.
Did anyone else get sad when selling baby clothes? Looking at her cute stuff from when she was tiny makes me melancholic.
I teared up when I packed up stuff! I even saved a few newborn diapers.
I found a random leftover newborn diaper of DS2's a week or so ago and carried it around for way longer than I like to admit. It's still next to my bed.
We went to visit our neighbors/friends and I am fairly tipsy from splitting a bottle of wine. Tomorrow is the 1 day I need to work this week, so kind of bad timing, but at least if I feel hungover work is easier than two toddlers.
I've been exchanging emails with a local car dealership about a minivan I had my eye on. They refused to budge on price, so I refused to test drive it. Around and around we went. They says they "really wanted my business" and that they could only drop it a measly $300 (WTF). So I offered to split the difference between their price and mine. They said no. Fine, whatever assholes, go ahead and lose a sale over a piddly $1800. I will go elsewhere.

L was such a trooper this weekend. Saturday we had friends over to cookout and he did so well with all the kids running around and playing with his toys, then he stayed up an hour or so late. Sunday he went to MILs and stayed over- she said he did really well. Plus SHE didn't get him to bed until an hour and a half past bedtime. We picked him up this morning, tossed him in the car and the dumped him at SILs so we could go look at cars. He did so well there too with a bunch of kids and kind-of strangers all day. Didn't get home and in bed tonight until another hour past bedtime. He is going to be so glad for a normal day tomorrow and regularly scheduled naps and bedtimes..

The good news is after weekends like that with my kid, the first day home is usually pretty calm and mellow for a change. They're just so happy to be back on routine, play with their own stuff. I don't have to do much and it's awesome!
I wish i had audio of DH and N. N pooped in his diaper after bedtime, DH could tell he wasnt done so he had him finish pooping on the toilet.
DH - no, dont touch that N - mommy said to point it DH - not while you're sitting! N - i want to stand up (whining, of course) DH - finish pooping please. Get your hand out of the toilet! Dont touch that! N - im trying to get the big poop out!
FFC: P starts OT tomorrow and I'm not even entirely sure what it is.
It was pretty hard to tell the difference when DD was P's age but OT will focus on more hand-related things like grasping and transferring objects and PT will focus more on gross motor.

I have no plans to throw the newborn diapers away anytime soon I totally understand!

Such a long, tiring, not relaxing at all weekend. Not looking forward to this week. I'll miss my kid, I'm sick of my job, I don't want to do any adult things. Luckily it's a short week with a relaxing weekend ahead.
My DH and I actually discussed Love Languages this weekend and he must have texted his mom something about me being an excellent mom (words of affirmation and all that). She wrote me a very sweet text and it made me happy.
I took a bare belly bump picture tonight...you guys I think I'm going to get huge again. It makes sense since Ds2 is measuring almost 2wks ahead like Ds1 did but I was hoping to avoid the horrified "when are you due/omg you have months to go" comments & stares this time.
