I pumped when they got up. I would pump at 9 pm. They'd wake between 1 and 3, then again around 6 am. The milk was fine sitting out that long. Once they started STTN I still pump at 230 am bc I need the milk. I just don't set bottles out before bed anymore.
H would help if I needed him (bc I have twins). Honestly if I had 1 baby he'd never wake up bc I pump while I feed so wouldn't need him.
-so basically leave the 10 pm bottle put and still pump when baby gets up.
I pump at 12:30, fill bottle, leave on shelf near baby. Put extra in fridge.
Baby wakes anytime 1-5. DH feeds him, but I could feed him.
I pump at 4:30. Fill bottle for later.
Baby wakes between 5 and 7 for second time. DH feeds him (though I could)
I pump at 7:30/8 right before work. I fill a bottle for DH while I'm gone but that would go in the fridge since your baby goes to daycare or you might do that pump at work or in the car.
My daily pumps are 12:30, 4:30, 8, 11:30, 2:30, 5:30/6 8:30/9. I may change depending on day's activities, but it's much easier if I keep this schedule. And I get as much milk in 7 pumps as I did in 8. I think the added sleep helps.
I'm happy to answer questions any time if I can help:)
MOTN waking, whenever that is (4 oz) 5ish (2-3 oz quickie with manual) 9:30 (6-8 oz) 12:30 (4-5 oz) 3:30 (4-5 oz) 7:00 (3-4 oz) 10:00 (3-4 oz)
So roughly 26-33 oz per day. I am able to keep up with him when we are together but have trouble keeping 16 oz ahead for daycare the next day, if that makes sense?
Occasionally he will have a wonky MOTN schedule and wake up at, like, 11:30 pm. At that point pumping is kind of dumb since its been just 1.5 hours since my last one and I hardly get anything. And I have trouble pumping in the morning because it's crazy hectic trying to get everyone out the door which is why I tend to just pump a quick snack bottle with my manual.
I'm annoyed because everything is fine on weekends, it's just that big chunk to send to daycare is tricky.
I pump at 3:30 AM regardless of whether there's a baby up, and use that milk for their first morning bottle (I leave it at room temp). For any overnight feeds we use milk from the fridge that I've portioned off already, and H usually does the feed unless both babies are up.
As critique--on the weekends, do a good pump both in the middle of the night and at 5am (or around then). I always get my best output then.
Do you eat a good breakfast? I wasn't but have found my production has gone up since doing so.
Did the bars L made you help at all? I have her recipe if you want it. They helped me a lot. I make a double batch at once and it makes enough to eat 1 a day for more than a month.
I pump before bed and prepare a bottle. When he wakes up, I give it to him and he is super sleepy and goes back to sleep. Then I pump. He usually wakes once lately and then again in early morning. Occasionally I skip the early morning one if I'm too tired.
If you need to get ahead, you could try formula for one daycare bottle a day but keep on the same pumping schedule (or experiment if you want with timing, etc.). That would give you a bit of room to breathe and get ahead.
I think she said he wasn't taking formula very well.
You probably have tried, but I wondered if he would an ounce of formula in breast milk--do that with most of his bottles for a couple of days and you could get ahead easy enough.
I only did a 1-3 am pump if I was running low. Usually a few days of that (I'd pump a few minutes past empty) would increase my yield for the rest of the day.

On days home when do you pump in the morning? I pump everyday at 230 and 530 am. Even on my days off I set an alarm. I get the most milk during those times and need it for my supply.

If you supplement with your donor milk and keep on the same pumping schedule you might be able to get ahead. When I was EP and had to leave for a business trip for a couple days I freaked out at not having enough/not keeping up. We did formula for a couple days and that was just enough to ease my mind/help me get ahead.
