No issues or vents unless you count my few seconds over 20 min at the 5k yesterday. I had a 6:18 Garmin pace which I thought would have been enough for 19:5x, but alas, tangents. I will know for the next time I run the course. AW: I got 3rd F and it was a lovely course through Baker Park. It was a Grand Prix race so I had running group friends to try and catch, and run and chat with afterwards. If anyone is considering joining a running club, DO IT.

Highlights or AW's? I had a nice sub 9-minute 13 mile run Saturday morning thanks to my speedy running partner.

Any issues or vents? Couldn't do my lake swim this week because Memorial day crowds were there and there was a) no parking b) many many drunk people c) boats. Decided to make it a one-and-done instead.
Highlights or AW's? This is my LAST peak training week! I'm so excited I could pee myself - I'm really tired of this training cycle for some reason.

What are you training for? Date?
Baltimore 10 miler: 6/6
Charles Street 12 miler: 9/6
Police Pace 5K: 9/13 (I won my AG last year so I'm determined to defend my title, lol)
Metric Marathon: 9/20
Huh. I never realized I had races 3 weeks in a row until just now.
Training plan for the week?
M: 7 easy miles. I set out to do a few fun miles but the weather was so amazing that I just kept on running!
T: Hills
W: Rest
Th: Tempo run
F: Rest
S: 14-16
S: ?
Any issues or vents?
I keep forgetting to register for the Baltimore 10 miler, and every time I think about it (like now) I never have my wallet with me.
Aside from that, I've had some sort of infection in the cuticle of my big toe. It will be fine for a few days then start hurting again. It's been about 6 weeks. I know I should see the doctor, but I am lazy.
Highlights or AW's?
I'm trying to speed up my long runs a bit, while still being able to keep up a conversation. This past week's long was about 15 sec/mile faster than I had been going. Which is still over a minute slower than half race pace, but I can't talk and run that pace! Baby steps!

What are you training for? Date? Disney land half/DDD challenge (10k Saturday, Half Sunday)
Training plan for the week? 2 miles - Done 3 miles 3.5 miles
Any issues or vents? I'm having a hard time fitting in running. I've made cross a priority lately. I'm giving myself a few more weeks of cross > running then I need to cut back cross training some. I'm just re starting running so I'm using intervals. Last run was 2:30/1.
Highlights or AW's? I'm kicking butt at cross training. :-p
M 1.25 mile run T 1500m OWS race W 4 mile run T 2000 yd pool swim, 50 minute trainer ride F rest & race prep S sprint triathlon S shake out run
I couldn't finish my run last night due to difficulty breathing. I also overdid it canoeing yesterday. I'm worried that I will not improve my time at my OWS race tonight.
I am finally feeling ready for my Oly. I have trained to the point that I believe I can enjoy myself at the race and be happy with my time.
buffaloeggs.blogspot.com 2016 Races: Hop Hop Half Marathon 2:05:09 Pac Crest Half Ironman 7:13:40 9/10 Aluminum Man Oly Tri 11/27 Space Coast Half Marathon
Training plan for the week? M: 10k race Tue-Sun: not a damn thing. I have a tough year coming up, and I'm trying to be smart about rest. Maybe I'll do some upper body and core, but maybe not.
Any issues or vents? Nope. I mean, my Achilles sucks, but hopefully the week off will help.
Highlights or AW's? Course PR at Bolder Boulder, with a 5th place AG. I haven't done any speed work to speak of. And I felt gooood. I love 10ks.
What are you training for? Date? Maintaining until MCM training starts
Training plan for the week? M: 6 miles T: 5 miles W: cross training Th: rest F: 8-10 miles S: 3-4 recovery miles
Any issues or vents? my ankle has been sore since Friday. It doesn't get worse during a run, but I've had to resort to brace & ice bath. My schedule is tentative,I'm not doing any speed work/ hill training, and hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.
What are you training for? Date? Seafair Triathlon 7/19, other triathlons.
Training plan for the week? M: rest/mancold T: yoga W: 4 mile moderate run R: rest F: swim S: spin/run brick Su: rest
Any issues or vents? I hope to god this is the last cold of the year. OWS totally kicked my ass too.
Highlights or AW's? It was a good week last week despite getting another cold. I made all 5 of my planned workouts (had to move yoga+weights from Tue to Thurs), did my first OWS of the season, and bought triathlon shoes and matching cleats/pedals for my road bike!
