Last week, at 4 months. He'd been in the Rock N Play in our room since birth, but for various reasons is he at risk for plagiocephaly so we wanted to get him onto a softer surface in his crib. It was fine.
We moved him at about 4 days old. He peed through both pack n play sheets that night and we didn't have any more, so we stuck him in his crib in the middle of the night and never looked back.
sooner with my daughter but we held off longer with my son because we only have two bedrooms so they have to share. It's gone ok overall but yeah some nights they wake each other up

DS moved from the PNP bassinet in our room to his crib in his room at 4.5 months. His room is on the other side of our one-story house and I was nervous to have him so far away, but it was no big deal.
I moved the RNP into his room around 3 months, and then moved him into the crib around 4 months. He slept about the same, but DH and I slept so much better with him in another room. We used a video monitor.
I don't even remember. Early on, she was a loud & obnoxious sleeper. She was definitely in her crib by 6-8 weeks, perhaps way earlier, although I often slept in the nursery in the early days.

DS we transitioned to his crib/own room around 4 months. He also was in a hip harness ( we had transitioned to rhino brace by then at night time only). It was a bit of an adjustment because we also did CIO a few weeks later becuase his sleep was shit and we were rocking to sleep still. We did it all in one big swoop.
DD on the other hand is 7 months and still in our room. ( ugh). We have a small townhouse and I don't think they can share a room quite yet, and me maintain my sanity, She is also in a hip harness at night, we transitioned out of Pavlik at 14 weeks to rhino brace and at same time moved from RNP to PNP.
nextbigthing how has your hip journey been? You just weaning out now?
At 2 yrs old, we still haven't. *cries* downside of city living! Counting the days until August, when we'll have a 2 bedroom and can kick him out of our bedroom.
Where are you going? Same building or another neighborhood?
Different building. Got our lease renewal, and rent is going up by $700 a month in August. (No thanks!) Our theory is that the new management is trying to empty out the building to convert to more condos. (Have the option of buying our unit for 915K, lol)
I love the support system we have in this neighborhood, but i think we're getting priced out. My parents desperately want us to move to their neighborhood in Manhattan, which I love. Great public schools, great parks, easier for my mom to help with J, etc. H is a harder sell. We are still looking to buy, but we're going to hold off for a year to save up more, since we definitely can't close on anything by August.
We moved her into her crib in her own room at 7 weeks. Her noisy sleeping was keeping us awake at night. We actually both slept better in our own rooms. Her first night in the crib she slept 7 hours!

We just got back from vacation. The baby is 10 months old. I figured it was the time to do it while we were out of our normal routine. But he really only starts the night in his bed. When he wakes up to nurse I bring him back to our bed, because I am tired at night. It has been going really well. He could probably make it the whole night in his room, after a midnight wake up , but I miss him.
DD started in a crib in our sitting room, maybe 3 feet from our bed. At 5 months we moved her across the hall. Same crib, different location. She transtioned like a champ, I don't think she even had one bad night.
With DD she was in a bassinet next to me for 2 months, then a PNP in our room for 2 more months. Then at 4 months we put her in her crib in her room. I think it went ok. I don't remember it being an issue. She was not STTN at any point in the process.
DD was in the same room as us her first night home from the hospital. That's it, aside from random nights throughout her 2.75 years of life (vacation, etc).

Hi, thanks for asking!
He's had the brace since 4 weeks (he's 13 weeks now). He wore it full time for 6 weeks, then out for 4 hours/day for a week, then 8 hours, now just at night. Hrs done for good next Friday, so a total of 9 weeks (yay!). He had a mild case where the hips were in the sockets but not totally. The brace was a pain at first but we got used to it, and I'm grateful it was the worse. DS has never really minded it much

How's your DD doing with it?
That's awesome! So nice to be done totally soon, I'm jealous! Both my kids had more severe dysplasia but so far no surgery needed so I'm grateful for that! DD was in harness at 2 weeks ( we knew ahead of time she was predisposed due to DS having it so we got in quick with specialist!) full time pavlik til 3 months? It was SLOW for her. Very little progress for a while, finally switched to Rhino brace Full time at 4 months and hip Angles got better! Got the all clear healthy hips at 5.5 months and now we wear at night. My son wore rhino at night until 13 months so we will prob do same for her, just to prevent regression. I'm ok with it, since it doesn't seem to bother her either! And I honestly thought her lack of progress was going to end up with surgery so again, just grateful!
I bet you are ready to throw that stinky harness away though! So gross after a long time!
Both kids were in our room sharing a crib for the first 9 months. We then moved one kid to the nursery for somewhere around 2 months. At about 11m we moved the 2nd crib back into the nursery and they both slept in there.
