H is driving me a bit crazy. I really want a bottle (or three) on hand in our hotel room. We keep driving past grocery stores and he keeps refusing to stop because he's nervous about traffic or getting lost. I want winnnnmmereee!
I'm overwhelmed with the amount of $ we have been and will be spending over the next few weeks. It's all planned expenditures and we have the cash in the bank but it's all happening at once.
pool filter & cartridges cleaned new grill new back door new alternator for H car windows tinted in my car new floors for the dining room
My discover card cash back bonus is going to be great this month.

I am actually glad to be at work today since my ILs are still here. They are going to the beach today with DH, who thankfully took the whole week off. Even though I'm just in my home office, the distraction is nice. We had a great weekend, but I need a little me time.
ddi741, we are in the same boat! I can't believe what a work out my credit card is getting this month- I got 4 new tires, we paid our 6 month insurance premiums, and DH bought a new suit. Yikes!
mbcdefg, I would try once to bring up the fact that this is happy hour and let's not talk about work, blah, blah, blah and then after that, if nothing changes, I would just stop going.
mbcdefg - Does this person ever take the hint when the conversation is steered in other non-work related directions? If so, then yes, I'd probably still go. But if they don't, then I'd stop since I have better things to do with my time than be around toxic people.
hamster - It is. We had our house painted last year. It took weeks and paint samples all around the house to figure it out. I still wonder if I made the right decision.

I tried changing the subject and it worked a few times, but the person kept coming back to that. And other people joined in! Ugh.

Yeah, so, the guy wasn't as busy as I thought. He comes next Monday, lol. I've got the inside mostly figured out, but the outside? The color looks so green on the search and the kitchen, but outside it looks all brown. I wouldn't be unhappy with it, but its just not quite there.
I'm reading the Full House Reviewed blog (HILARIOUS, if you've never read it) and got to the entry about Jesse and Becky's wedding reception. NO SEATS!!!!!
And presumably no food, since everyone was crowded shoulder-to-shoulder in their tiny-ass living room. I know San Francisco is HCOL, guys, but that's no excuse.
I was out of town this weekend and at one point got an email from my husband. Subject lines "It seems that someone has tummy issues." Attached were three photos of cat puke.
Um... did I really need to see it to get the relevant info there?
Our roof started leaking in 3 places over the weekend. I'm happy that it didn't happen sooner (we received 18 inches of rain so far this month!). Luckily the insurance company is acting quickly. Our roof should be tarped by the end of the day and a team will come out to assess the damage within 4 days. Thanks to the recent baseball sized hail, a lot of our neighbors are getting new roofs. If I understood correctly, our next door neighbor had $10k of damage excluding his roof. Eeekk.
The painter starts next week for about 10 days. I'm totally beside myself trying to figure out what to do with Wyatt. I can't send him to daycare everyday, and while he's crate trained, that's not a great solution while the guy is inside cause he'll just bark and cry. And the guy can't kick Wyatt outside while he's inside cause he is an asshole to the neighbors horse. Sigh.

Any chance you can work from home and keep him contained with you? I do that with our dog, we have baby gates we use to keep her away from the workers and I just wfh those days.

Minimally. I don't have access to the network or my email while I'm off campus, so it would be difficult.
I am scanning in photos I have of Jr and his birth mom. I have been putting this off for months. At first I was excited when I heard a book with pictures existed as many kids from foster care have no photos of their early years . Turns out all the photos are from the summer before parental rights were terminated so we have nothing from before he was 5 years old. It is sad and frustrating at the same time.
I've finally pulled myself away from fb. An officer was laid to rest today after being killed in the line of duty last week. I'm so amazed at how our city has pulled together to support her family. It was a little rough for me, as the granddaughter of a fallen police officer, but I couldn't have been more honored to stand there and show my support.
