The ground is really squishy and one window is leaking but other than that we are ok. At least the water is still draining away from the house. Thank you.
It is so wet here! While we are thankful for the rain relieving the drought, I wish it would let up a little! All is good here though. It's the Austin area that is bad.

I'm a temp Texan right now and I'm so excited to see the sun today! I have the hotel window open. We're up on a hill but the river down the road from us completely flooded and you can't see most of the picnic tables in the nearby park. I'm sure most of the houses in that area are completely ruined
It's crazy here in Houston but dry in my area. Daycare for 18m dd was closed (wah) and I have mastitis so I'm feeling rather shit. Crossing fingers 2w ds has a calm day, and that DD has a loooong nap!
I'm near downtown Houston. We are fine - had to find a new route to work because my normal route was under water, including an underpass that was completely under 13 feet of it. Hope things are starting to dry out, but we may get more rain this afternoon! :/
Another Houston person here. It's dry in my neighborhood but work closed today because of all the flooding, which is good since the freeway I take to work is basically a lake.
north/northwest of Houston here. Wet, but okay. Couple tornado warnings last night that were very close to me. Couple flooded roads but I think they're open again. It was scary driving home last night.

ETA: I'm northwest of Dallas.

Southeast Houston checking in....we are okay in my area, but my BFF and her DH are stuck at home because their streets all around them are flooded (Sugarland area).
I'm in Houston in the heights. Our entire street was a lake, I took these pics last night around 10:30 and this morning around 10am. Thankfully my husband's car (parked on the street in the pic) was ok!

My sister is in Fulshear and the schools are closed, lightning and rain were awful last night but they are ok. I guess there's been 3 reported deaths-One near the Harwin area in Houston
Ft Worth is fine. I actually feel kind of dumb for checking in, lol.
The issue is that this is supposed to continue through June. I'm not sure how much more the ground/lakes/rivers can take.
I'm not saying we don't need the water...but it sure would be nice to not get 3 years worth of water at once.
It's killing me that the Park here in Houston where we lost SO many trees is now under water - couldn't mother nature get her shit together so we had enough water when we needed it and not too much now?!

Wait, there's more coming? I feel like I've barely seen the sun for 6 weeks (I'm near Austin). DH and I are constantly grumpy due to lack of sunshine. Every week, we check the weather forecast and it's just rain, rain, rain. Yesterday wasn't that bad for us, though we were trapped on our property for a few hours due to our creek flooding over our bridge.
I follow Pete Delkus on fb and he shares Steve McCauleys posts. They are so informative. But yeah, they are saying rain thru June and much below avg temps this summer.

Fort Worth here too! My Dad lives near Denton and had a tornado touch down a mile from his house. A lake near his house was down 25 feet from the drought and now its back up to level, if not over. We are supposed to take a mini vacation to Austin next Friday. I have no idea if that is actually going to happen.

I'm with you. My mom & stepmom have a lake house on Cedar Creek and it is flooded. Several docks are under water, slews are full, and creek beds that have been dry for a decade have fast moving water. I'm starting to get worried that their house might have issues (they already have almost $20k of property damage).

Its funny- we have been looking at houses out at Eagle Mountain lake. ALL of the docks were on dry ground. Supposedly they had built this multimillion dollar pipeline from one lake to Eagle Mountain to get it filled. It was supposed to be done this month. lol
