I had the same non-reaction when they were prescribed after oral surgery. Zip. Fortunately vicodin (sort of) worked. Call your doctor and ask for something different.
Call your doctor. They almost assuredly cannot call you in anything because C2s cannot be called in. But someone might be able to go and get the physical prescription for you.

I'm sorry.
Good idea! I'm having trouble sleeping too, isn't supposed to knock you out?

There was a period (when I was taking the vicodin) where I got off the schedule, and waited too long between doses, and the pain really spiked. I was taking as much vicodin and prescription ibuprofen that I could before I could get back to see the surgeon. At that point, it wasn't really killing the pain, but I was so high that I didn't care. It's better than nothing, but I really hope your dr. can prescribe something that will actually work. Also ask if you can take something else as well in between, like 800mg ibuprofen.
ETA: When I was on schedule with the vicodin, it worked perfectly and slept like a rock.
So, Percocet and Vicodin have the same narcotic ingredient (hydrocodone), but percocet is acetaminophen and vicodin is ibuprofen. Often, if you are prescribed percocet and it doesn't work, you can take it at the same time as 400mg of ibuprofen (two extra-strength motrin is fine) and it'll work "better". I'd call the pharmacy or your doctor to confirm, but it may be helpful and prevent you having to run out and get something different.
Vicodin is acetaminophen and hydrocodone, and Percocet is acetaminophen and oxycodone.
I was prescribed percocet one time and it did nothing. I told my doctor and he said that for some people, it just doesn't work. He put me on something else, I don't remember what, and it worked.

This isn't accurate. Percocet is oxycode + acetaminophen and vicodin is hydrocode + acetaminophen.
Personally I don't find either of them very effective, and Percocet makes me itch all over after taking if for a day.

Sorry about the above. Apparently I'm a little short on caffeine this morning. I edited to remove wrong advice.
(Worse: I work for an ortho. I KNOW this stuff. I'm just an idiot sometimes.)
No problem
Once when I was working a pharm tech, I said "methamphetamine" instead of "methylphenidate" for the generic name of Ritalin and totally embarrassed myself in front of my boss. :?
Percocet is the name brand and is a combo of acetaminophen and oxycodone. I want to say my dose was 500mg, so you may want to call and ask if you can take two pills.
What happened??
I took quite a fall yesterday hiking our way down a trail. I knew right away I broke something. Called 911, they dispatched search and rescue. 2 hours later search and rescue were getting me prepped to go down in a litter. 2 hours later we were in the parking lot and off to the hospital.

I typed it all out, hit "go" and then re-read it and was like "OMG. WTH DID I JUST WRITE? ALL WRONG!!!" And then edited, but was too slow for you speedsters and got quoted/corrected anyhow. LOL

It's been a rough morning so far.
I'm all up in the pharmacy-related threads, I know!

I left the house without my coffee this morning. It has not been a great day.

Sorry you're having a rough day.
Thanks. I spent the morning typing up a report for a lady with a left leg issue, sent it, then read the records again and realized it was a RIGHT leg issue, so I had to recall the wrong report, correct it, apologize profusely, look like an idiot, etc.
I think I just need to go back to bed and start over later.

OMG, you had to sit there for 4 hours with a broken ankle? Holy shit, I'm sorry.
Plus getting X-rays, plus waiting for someone to do a splint.
Thank goodness you were somewhere near civilization. That happened to my dad last year while he was (alone) out in the backcountry and he had to spend the night out there before they could get to him.
I am very glad that you're ok and I hope you feel better soon.
I don't think there is anything wrong with asking for a different medication or a different dosage.
